INCIDENT LOG
Under Operation FISHHOOK1 the suspect had successfully been lured in; recording of the ensuing events follows.
[BEGIN LOG]
<PREY ITEM sleeps within their bed. Agents are stationed inside the closet, under the bed and next room over.>
BELL: Cap, we've detected commotion in the living room window.
DUNWICH (CAP): Steady now. Remain vigilant.
<Suspect enters the bedroom. It peeks inside, wheezing loudly, before it enters and carefully shuts the door behind it.>
<Suspect looks out through the window. Upon realizing there is no one on the streets below, it opens it.>
<It turns back to the prey item. Suspect pulls back portions of the blanket to reveal prey item's skin. It lowers its snout to be at the height of the prey item and sniffs the air.>
<After sniffing, suspect raises its head again, licking its snout with a long prehensile tongue. It snickers to itself.>
<On command, all three hidden agents emerge from their hiding spots. They each draw their weapons and aim them at the suspect. Suspect looks around confused.>
DUNWICH: Hands up!
BELL: All appendages up in the air, now!
MARKO: Don't you dare do something stupid!
<The prey item awakens and draws their gun as well. The prey item themselves are also an agent.>
DUNWICH: Oh, we've got you now, you little scaly bastard!
<Suspect looks at each of the agents, before settling its eyes on Captain Dunwich. What appears to be a smile begins to adorn its face.>
SUSPECT: You… come…
<Captain Dunwich raises an eyebrow.>
<Suspect swings around to reveal a long scaly tail on its behind. It swings it around and hits both agents Bell and Marko, knocking them to the floor.>
<The remaining two fire upon the suspect; the bullets simply bounce off of its scaly hide.>
<Suspect slashes across the prey item's chest, lethally injuring them. It squeezes through the window opening and begins scaling along the roofs.>
DUNWICH: Bullet-proof… of course!
<Captain Dunwich aims the tracker beam at the suspect; it hits. Suspect is now marked on the radar.>
DUNWICH: (into comms) Attention. I need all available units to follow the signal on PA-31-ABC. Marked as Red, high priority!
BELL: What about them?!
<Agent Bell points at the lifeless body of the prey item operative.>
DUNWICH: Leave them. They're done for. Now, move! Move!
<Team Beta-Delta-2 vacate the building.>
[EXTRANEOUS FOOTAGE OMITTED]
<Team Beta-Delta-2 arrives outside of an abandoned manufacturing plant. Its walls are dilapitated. The underbrush surrounding the building has grown tall.>
BELL: Tracker went dead just a few seconds ago.
MARKO: Where is back-up?
DUNWICH: Fucking elsewhere. They're still dealing from the fall-out of that tarantula incident. Come on!
<The team ventures into the plant.>
<The interior is dark and moist. The winding corridors are covered in rust and many portions are overgrown.>
MARKO: So this is where our little psycho-skinner likes to hide out. Can't say I'm much surprised.
DUNWICH: Quiet!
<All of the members stop dead in their tracks. They listen out for any noises in the dead silence.>
<After a few seconds, faint whimpering can be made out in the distance.>
BELL: Is that…?
MARKO: Holy shit…
DUNWICH: Let's go!
<Dunwich hurries down one of the corridors. The other two follow close behind.>
MARKO: Captain, sir, what should we do once we've located the survivors?
DUNWICH: You and Bell will bring the survivors to safety. I'll hold our lizard boy up when he decides to show up.
BELL: How?! Our guns didn't do jack-shit when we shot at it!
DUNWICH: That's why I'm not gonna use a gun.
<They arrive at a dead end. There is nowhere else to go, despite the whimpering noises being louder than ever.>
BELL: Where the hell are they?
MARKO: Hello? Hello, is anybody here? Where are you!
<Dunwich looks around. He spots odd lines on one of the walls. He soon figures out that the lines are the outlinings of a hidden door. He presses his hands against it; the door creaks open.>
<The team ventures inside. The door leads to a narrow staircase where it is pitch dark. The members activate their head-mounted flashlights.>
<The walls are old and decrepit; even moreso than the ones above ground. What appears to be dried blood and feces adorns portions of the walls. Agent Bell looks away.>
<The sounds of whimpering and muffled crying only grow in volume. The members' movements become more vigilant now.>
<They finally arrive at the last flight. They turn the corner into a dark room.>
BELL: Oh…
MARKO: Jesus Christ…
<The room is covered from floor to ceiling in blood. Various sharp implements, needles and sowing equipment rest upon a rusty metal table, while a sack filled with multiple body parts lies right underneath it. There are metal shackles hanging loosely from the walls. Bound by one of them lies the emaciated, yet still alive figure of Michael Dunwich. He can barely lift his head up to see.>
M. DUNWICH: (weakly) D—david…?
<Dunwich immediately rushes toward him. He inspects him for any wounds and tries to pick the locks.>
M. DUNWICH: Da—avid…
DUNWICH: (shushes) You'll be all right, okay? You'll be all right…
<Dunwich quickly unshackles M. Dunwich. He falls to the floor and is caught by Dunwich right before he hits it. He steadies him.>
DUNWICH: You hear me, bro? You'll be all right. We'll get you outta here, okay? You hear me? We'll get you out.
<M. Dunwich begins to hold Dunwich tightly and sobs.>
M. DUNWICH: (sobs) It took Rosa, man! (sniffles) A-a-and it tore Niner right i—in two…
<Dunwich holds him dearly, unable to process any of it.>
M. DUNWICH: I couldn't save them… I couldn't save any of them.
<Dunwich remains still for quite a while. He looks at Agent Bell.>
DUNWICH: What's his condition?
<Agent Bell does not react; she remains completely still and silent.>
DUNWICH: God fucking dammit! Bell, what's his condition?! Bell!
<Agent Bell finally breaks out of her stupor. She goes to examine M. Dunwich with her equipment.>
BELL: Very critical. We need to get him out of here as soon as possible.
DUNWICH: Can he move?
BELL: Not advised. But he should be able to get out of—
<There is an odd plopping sound. Soon after, the head of Agent Marko, all bloody, hits the far side of the room. The others look toward where Agent Marko once stood; in his place stands the Pelt Maker, holding the rest of his body by one hand.>
<The Pelt Maker lets the body clatter to the floor. It sniffles the air.>
SUSPECT: Found.
<The members back up into a corner. Bell hides behind Dunwich, looking at the creature in horror. Dunwich keeps M. Dunwich close behind him.>
M. DUNWICH: No, no…
SUSPECT: Yes.
<The Pelt Maker approaches. Soon, there is not enough room left for them to back into.>
DUNWICH: O—okay… Bell, I want you to hurry out with Michael as quickly as you can.
BELL: What?! No way, sir!
DUNWICH: I am your superior, Agent Bell! Now do as I say!
BELL: What are you going to do against that thing?!
DUNWICH: Just go!
<Agent Bell takes M. Dunwich by the hand. The Pelt Maker lunges at them; as it does, Captain Dunwich retrieves a small sonar device from his pocket and activates it.>
<Upon activation, a very high-pitched sound permeates through the entire room. Captain Dunwich shuts his ears, unable to hear the sound; the Pelt Maker does so as well.>
<He strains to get up, but eventually does. He hurries after the others out of the room.>
<Loud thrashing and roaring noises are audible behind him. Dunwich quickens his pace, the high-pitched sounds barely audible now.>
<Dunwich runs through the winding corridors as the Pelt Maker chases after him.>
<He eventually finds the exit as the Pelt Maker lunges at him, claws outstretched, maw opened wide. Then the sounds of gunshots ring out.>
AGENT: Open fire!
<Multiple reinforcements engage fire on the entity. No damage is dealt, as the entity is only knocked back. Dunwich sees this development and yells back.>
DUNWICH: Sonar! You gotta use sonar!
<Firing immediately ceases. Deployment of sonar-based weaponry is in effect.>
AGENT: Three…
<The Pelt Maker slowly rises from the ground.>
AGENT: Two…
<It snarls at the operatives as it charges toward them.>
AGENT: One!
<Sonar weaponry is deployed. The Pelt Maker immediately ceaess its advance, as it claws and screeches at its head. It resists the effects of the weaponry for a while, but it eventually succumbs.>
<Captain Dunwich looks on as the Pelt Maker finally collapses to the ground.>
[END LOG]

DUNWICH: Is your new home. Get used to it.
2025-02: Tight… No tools, no… skin.
DUNWICH: You bet, you little fucker. Your new place of residence is a bit more… restrictive when it comes to butchering and satisfying insane psychopaths' sadistic needs.
<Subject 2025-02 looks up.>
2025-02: Me… no… sadistic!
DUNWICH: (chuckles) You're not sadistic? You're not— (chuckles more) Hey, Mike, did'ya hear that?
2025-02: Me… creating. Creating… beautiful.
<Captain Dunwich slams his fists on the table.>

<Subject 2025-02 leans back in its seat.>
