Further screenings confirmed the absence of any/all internal organs; Each reanimated victim was instead filled with various fibrous materials typically used for stuffing dolls or pillows.

Summary: Suspect is an adult human male capable of reanimating deceased humans via highly methodical anomalous procedures. Was apprehended following a call to authorities during an unarmed burglary.
Name: Harold Farnsworth
Irregularity Cross-reference: Human
Physical Description:| Sex | Height | Weight/Build | Race | Hair | Eyes | Identifying Attributes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| M | 5'10" | ~120 lbs, Average | White | Brown | Blue | Glasgow Smile |
Capabilities: Reanimation of deceased humans. Pacifying psychic properties prevent the use of violent force against the suspect.
Purpose/Motive: Unknown (Pending)
Modus Operandi: Suspect will reanimate victims shortly after the time of death. Prior to reanimation, suspect will typically flay all epidermal tissue from the corpse, soaking the separated skins in vats of preservatives. The skinned corpse will then have all excess muscular tissue removed and discarded. All vital organs (brain, stomach, heart, kidneys, etc) will be removed intact, and kept in cold storage.
Once the corpse's skeleton has been thoroughly cleaned of any remaining organic matter, the suspect will bleach and then set out the bones for drying. After sufficient desiccation, suspect then utilizes adhesive (typically of the Gorilla Glue brand) to affix large clusters of material such as polyester fiberfill and cotton wool to the skeleton until deemed sufficient. Following this, he typically removes the corpse's skins from liquid storage, dries and cures the skins, and will begin re-stitching the corpse's skin to fit the now-padded skeleton.
Suspect typically uses highly durable fiber materials designed for longterm stitching, however has been known to have used less durable fibers such as nylon and simple yarn in earlier documented cases. Upon completing the stitching, the reanimation will occur, with the reanimated corpse appearing nearly identical to the victim prior to death, with the exception of the visible stitching.
Behavior: Suspect is a confirmed serial killer, active in Wichita, Kansas during 1989-1993. Eyewitness and custody reports indicate signs of cognitive disability and/or mental illness, presenting as asocial, dissociated, or otherwise autistic in nature. Suspect is described as quiet, noncommunicative, and when electing to do so, typically speaks in cryptic, undetailed, or otherwise spare & jarring segments of speech. Possible Anorexia has been indicated, as he generally does not eat or drink unless compelled to do so. Suspect is highly susceptible to persuasion, manipulation, and displays little signs of agency or self-determination.
A: Fingerprints: Suspect fingerprints found on multiple surfaces within the Wesley Medical Center, as well as on the bodies of recovered victims.
B: Murder Weapons: A collection of butcher knives, scalpels, and one bone-cutting saw were found in the suspect's residence. Several were uncleaned, and had remnants of organic matter DNA-tested and confirmed to belong to three of the missing persons tied to the case.
C: Wesley Medical Center Surveillance Footage: Video surveillance captured footage of a man matching the suspect's description breaking into the Wesley Medical Center's supply storage overnight. Suspect sought out supplies of medical-grade suturing and stitch material and equipment.
SUSPECT: How could I, how could I-
Suspect is pacing in front of the primary breach point.
SUSPECT: I need. Keys? I can't get those.
Suspect smashes the glass door, opening the door from the inside. The alarm is triggered, startling the suspect, causing him to flinch. He quickly enters the building. Additional camera footage shows the suspect meandering through the hallways, appearing to scan signage for his destination. Suspect's movements are jerky and erratic, his gait uneven and posture inconsistent. No injuries from the prior breakage of glass can be seen, and any pain or discomfort visible on the suspect's face appear to be more directly related to his locomotive efforts.
SUSPECT: I hope they do not worry… the trials of being a modern man…
Suspect arrives at desired storage supply. He also notices the surveillance cameras at this time. He waves at the camera while squinting.
SUSPECT: Oh, hello.
Suspect enters the storage unit. Surveillance footage is unable to capture an angle where he is fully visible.
SUSPECT: I won't be long! Do not fret, right now.
Suspect quickly leaves the hospital, carrying two boxes looted from the storage supply. Suspect continuously mutters to himself on the way out, however the specifics of his speech were inaudible to the surveillance equipment due to the volume of the triggered alarm.
SUSPECT: Too new, too new. Bye-bye!
D: Witness Testimony '8': Testimony from [VICTIM 8], who was held captive at the time of the suspect's apprehension. [VICTIM 8] is the sole known survivor of the suspect, having had her planned killing delayed by a shortage of materials required. [VICTIM 8] was able to alert authorities during the suspect's absence (during the Wesley Medical Center Burglary), leading to apprehension. Their testimony is as follows:
AGENT: We're going to get your witness testimony on record now, Miss [VICTIM 8]. That alright?
[VICTIM 8]: Yes.
AGENT: Can you tell me about how he approached you?
[VICTIM 8]: Well, I had gotten some nails and stuff, from the hardware store. It was Thursday right? I didn't know him before, hadn't seen him, ever. I bought my things, I walked out, into the parking lot. I had my cart of stuff, I probably could've done with a basket, but it was a long day and I was gonna get back to it anyways. It was fine. I'm strolling out there, I didn't notice anything, and I always look out, you know? I'm not that type, I know streets, so just because it's quiet out here in Kansas, I never stopped, okay?
AGENT: Had the recent rise in crime been on your mind? Made you any more aware of your surroundings?
[VICTIM 8]: I didn’t really care too much. What happened to that Cali family was awful, sure, but that’s such an amateurish getup. I would never have it that way… stupid of me! Nobody knows how good they have it, anyways.
AGENT: Can you tell me more about the series of events leading up to your kidnapping?
[VICTIM 8]: Fine! So I was strolling to my car, and I just stopped because he grabbed me, and I knew something was wrong. This scrawny fucker, he's got my arm, and he just talks in my ear, deadpan, he says "Can you come with me, please?" just like that. "Come with me, please?" he says. His arm is grabbing me real tight, and I- listen, I don't shake, but I knew something was real wrong. And I wanted to smack this fucker away, real fast. I couldn't. I froze. I just stood there, and he started pulling on me. "Come with me, please"- who talks like that. I have to walk along, I had to, I was freaking out but my body wouldn't let me do anything else.
AGENT: So you went willingly? Did you make any attempt to alert bystanders?
[VICTIM 8]: It's hard to make a scene when you can't fight back. My body just wouldn't let me. People are out there, putting their bags in the trunk, walking from their cars, going into the store. I'm quietly walking along, figuring out words my body will let me say, but I can't fight back. I don't know why. My head is screaming inside, telling me to kill him, kill him now, and he's quietly moving me against his car, "You are going to the car." he says, and he's gripping my arms so tightly that it hurts, folding them behind me and tying them together with a zip tie. I think to myself, fuck, do something [VICTIM 8], just do something. After that, I can't remember anything. I think I passed out. I don't know if he did anything to me, but I passed out. Or I was gone, I don't know. I woke up in the warehouse you found me.
AGENT: Did you suspect you were going to be killed?
[VICTIM 8]: Yeah, probably. it stunk, it smelled so bad in that place. I could tell that he killed people there. I remember when I moved to Wichita, it was a few months after all that stuff in Milwaukee happened, and I thought to myself, when it happened, I mean, thank god I'm not like those sissies that got themselves killed. I know how to defend myself, you know? I could've killed that guy at any chance I wanted to, bare hands. I just couldn't move. It was like he paralyzed my muscles.
AGENT: I understand you have prior military service, correct?
[VICTIM 8]: Vietnam, yeah. Tail end though, no action.
AGENT: Right, well. Can you remember what the killer's home looked like?
[VICTIM 8]: Home… it looked like a pigsty, probably a warehouse. I remember waking up and seeing all the rags and bloodied bandages everywhere. I knew he killed, I could smell it. Blood. I knew I was next. He was in the corner there, spaced out and staring off. He was picking some skin by his arm. I was fucking scared sure, but honestly, I was pissed I was gonna get killed by a fucking retard, if I'm honest. I was tied up still, pants on, shirt off. Couldn't bring himself to look at my chest. He had a flat metal table, there was a skeleton there. It was too clean, couldn't have been new, you know. I thought to myself, "Okay, this guy is serious."
AGENT: Were you fearful for your wellbeing?
[VICTIM 8]: Yeah, of course. I was there, you know, shaking, and I was figuring out, "Well, how do I get out?" right. He was staring off into the distance. That's when I hear things moving behind me. I couldn't see, couldn't turn my neck, but it's breathing and shuffling, moving around. I don't know what it could've been. Maybe he just wanted to fuck with me, right? Just fucking with me. I can imagine his thrill seeing me tied up and afraid, yeah. He keeps staring, and he starts moving. "You can watch, okay?" he says. Fine by me. I didn't know he noticed I woke up. He walked like a kid, like he had to focus on every arm and leg to move forward. Like a cartoon. There was some big tanks he had, and he walked there. I'm struggling now, trying to wiggle, it didn't look like he cared. He goes to the tank, on a step-stool he opens it, and god, the fucking smell. He pulls out this soaking wet mess, I couldn't tell what it was, but the smell made me start wanting to barf. He dragged it on the floor to the table, and I could see it, the imprint of a face, lips, and the sockets… eyes missing and carved out. I threw up.
AGENT: Could you give a description of the face… the skin you saw?
[VICTIM 8]: What? No, I can't, I can't remember… Almost looked like a woman, he had real big fucking nipples. Shame. I was shaking there, cuz I knew he was gonna do that to me. But I was thinking still, "Okay, I can still get out of this."
AGENT: You said when you called for help that he had left the warehouse. Why did he leave you unattended?
[VICTIM 8]: I don't know, I don't care. I think he forgot something, who knows. He started laying the skin on the table, he stopped, he said "Oh, Okay."- and he looked real angry, gasping and pulling at his hair. He pulled out some clumps, fat clumps. He turned to me and said "It's okay, I forgot some groceries." to me, and he left. That was it. I could still hear the shuffling and breathing behind me, you know? But they never, never got close enough for me to see. That was the scariest part of it. I was struggling for a while and that was when I remembered in basic, they taught me a method I could use to get out. Hurt like hell, but I did it. I called for help on my phone as soon as I could.
AGENT: I understand. Could you give me a description of the creatures you heard behind where you were bound.
[VICTIM 8]: No, no I can't.
AGENT: You… can't? Why?
[VICTIM 8]: Don't you fucking judge me. Listen, I, I couldn't bring myself to look at them. I caught a glimpse. And I can't, you know. They scared me more than him. I can't tell you what they looked like. I can only tell you that I felt them watching me. Watching him.
AGENT: So you can't tell me anything about them? It took an hour for the authorities to arrive at the warehouse, correct?
[VICTIM 8]: I just couldn't. To kill is one thing, to kill is one thing- right?
Current Status: Apprehended, Death Row
Crimes: Seven counts of First-Degree Murder, One count of Aggravated Kidnapping, One count of Attempted Murder, Two Counts of Unarmed Robbery
History of UIU Action:
7/7/1993: Following two disappearances in Spring of 1993, investigators with the Wichita Police Department began to suspect the presence of a serial killer within the city. The investigation was not on the UIU radar until several reports were made from 7/5 to 7/7 by multiple different Wichita residents detailing sightings of individuals matching the released description of [VICTIM 3] and [VICTIM 6]. The accounts of the eyewitnesses detailed erratic behavior incongruous with their documented background and personal history. Reports included instances of the purported missing persons:
- Standing motionless behind a store facing directly towards & against the wall.
- Shuffling or standing in the middle of streets during late hours, unresponsive to oncoming traffic.
- On one occasion, a blinking head appearing to belong to [VICTIM 3] was seen protruding from a garbage dumpster.
- Floating motionlessly in a residential pool.
- In the background of an unrelated local news broadcast.
Wichita police were generally slow to respond to these reports; the reported individuals were invariably absent by the time of their arrival. Details of these reports resulted in the case being monitored for potential anomalous or paranormal activity.
9/22/1993: Harold Farnsworth is apprehended by local authorities. Due to the circumstances of discovery, as well as the apparent paranormalities surrounding the suspect's victims, alarm was raised, and the case was successfully stewarded under the UIU. Suspect did not resist arrest, appearing to submit easily despite the inability of arresting agents to ready firearms for coercion.
Despite prior eyewitness reports of encounters with [VICTIM 3] and [VICTIM 6], it appeared Farnsworth had recaptured them. Victims were recovered presenting in a state of near-catatonia. Victims are mute, asocial, and largely immobile, preferring to stand or sit in fixed positions. Any movements made are stiff and jerky, appearing to cause the victim immense pain or discomfort. Victims appear to be capable of eating and drinking, and occasionally may draw child-like illustrations if provided appropriate materials. Further screenings confirmed the absence of any/all internal organs; Each reanimated victim was instead filled with various fibrous materials typically used for stuffing dolls or pillows. After sufficient screening, the victims were offloaded to the Foundation for long-term containment and research.
10/7/1993: An attempt by the suspect's defense to argue Insanity is unsuccessful. Harold Farnsworth is found guilty on all counts, and is sentenced to death. An interview with Farnsworth was conducted after the conviction.
FARNSWORTH: Oh, hello there.
AGENT: You seem remarkably calm, huh?
FARNSWORTH: Why?
AGENT: You do realize you were sentenced to death today, right? You lost your case. The state is going to kill you for what you did.
FARNSWORTH: Oh.
Farnsworth is silent for a period of roughly 40 seconds, appearing to have trouble determining what to say next.
FARNSWORTH: I don't know what to say about dying…
AGENT: Your lawyer tried to argue you were too crazy to have known what you were doing. I don't think you're crazy, Harry. Well, you've never been talkative, have you? It's over now, between you and me, tell me… why'd you do it?
FARNSWORTH: I did not kill them, really. Can't they still go for burgers and beer..? Do they have TV in the jail? Do you think? I like watching the soap operas. Sometimes.
AGENT: For all intents and purposes, you murdered them, yes. Why?
FARNSWORTH: I wanted to get to know them. How else? We are all the same and there's always something so… rough about a man, I heard it on TV once. Cut right to the point, ha, ha. I learned that joke once.
The Agent remains silent, wincing a bit, struggling to understand the answer.
FARNSWORTH: The first one, he was… an accident. I thought he was like me. I heard that when you love someone, it touches them deep into their heart. I think I did it wrong.
AGENT: So you wanted to have relations with him, then?
FARNSWORTH: I thought, something might feel different, to touch their bodies. We are all the same. I open them up, and this might not be true, too.
AGENT: They had families, you know. Real people who really loved them. You took that away from them, and this is all you can muster? Give them something to reason with, give them something to hate, something they can point to as to why they don't have their sons anymore.
FARNSWORTH: Well, there is something you have that is missing from me. I know I am missing something inside of me. The way you look at me. The way they looked at me. Something is missing, and I am going to die? I wonder what it feels like.
10/17/1993: During the standard medical screenings as part of intake, it was determined via ultrasound and CAT scan that Farnsworth possesses no internal organs of his own, though some organic material in advanced stages of decay were found in his abdomen. Further DNA testing led to a positive match for the decayed material with several of Farnsworth's victims. Otherwise, the majority of his body was filled with fibrous material identical to that which he used to stuff his victims. Closer inspection of his body revealed several stitch marks around his hairline, navel, and anus, noted to be of considerably higher skill and craftsmanship than Farnsworth's own.
