You are in the 4th iteration of this universe.
The Serpent's Hand, and with their dreams of spilling the tea to unite the anomalous and humanity,
would come into reality with teamwork. However, with the embrace of their powerful fellow neighbor, the Book Burners, they would not achieve their goal so easily. For many years, the Book Burners have been eluding the Serpent.
A being, even more powerful than anything in existence—an archon, a crafter of the material world, was looking down at the Serpent in gloom for years. The Serpent perceived him as a dreadful fiend: Beelzebub, Belial, Azazel, but they've realized that it understood their desires and wanted to assist in reaching their goal as well as to prove to the Book Burners they are worthy.
Astanphaeus, the Archon, who strived for strife and discord, was feeding on the energy from the physical world because it ached to consume the cosmos—to rule everything. With the Serpent's peculiar decisions, they were clueless that they were helping Astanphaeus step by step satisfy its cravings, paving its path toward ultimate destruction. While it seemed like Astanphaeus was helping the Serpent—its director became president of the United States, mortals began telling each other the secret like a siren singing, it was the Archon's tactic to gain the Serpent's trust, to give it maximum energy.
When Astanphaeus ached to consume the cosmos, the Book Burners ached to hurl the archon and the Serpent out of existence. With the mindset of the Book Burners, they warned the Serpents about the danger they would cause. Still, with the embrace of mischief, they highly doubted them, saying that they are manufacturing an inhumane manner of the end of the world because of the anomalous.
With the determination of the Book Burners to embrace the whole world like a mother, the Book Burners approached the Serpent’s stronghold, and people came sprawling after they busted their door open. As the two factions clashed, the air thickened with an overwhelming sense of dread. The courtyard erupted into chaos—shouts, the clash of weapons, and the cries of fallen soldiers echoed through the night. As the two neighbors were killing each other, the dreadful Astanphaeus, with the help of the Serpent from the past, had enough energy to show its true colors.
BOOM
With Astanphaeus's grip, it ripped reality—its size was so unrealistic that every mortal who bent the fabric of the universe saw the Archon peeking through it, laughing hysterically to show that it is ready to feed.
Guilt, shock, and anxiety worked together to envelop the Serpent. For once, they finally saw the true colors of Astanphaeus. In dreams of reunion and finding the right path to make amends for their mistake, the two neighbors shook hands as a sign that they would work together. With all their might, they used all it took to hold Astanphaeus in their hand and hurl it out of existence, even if it broke the veil. After a workload, Astanphaeus was thrown out of existence into an adjacent reality, where it cannot even see our world.
In the end, with such a happy ending, the Serpent apologized to the Book Burners, but they still have the same old thoughts of spilling the tea. The Serpent learned that true unity could only be achieved through understanding and trust.
