So sorry to hear that they didn’t want to take on your research further. A huge bummer, because from what I saw, your drafts were shaping up incredibly. Hell, you even made reading about protein sequencing interesting, and that already should've put you leagues ahead of the usual drywall that gets funded.
If you feel up to it, maybe have a look at submitting it to one of those research journals?1 They’re usually looking for articles this time of year.
I promise they're more than coffee table material, and besides, it’d be a shame for all that overtime you spent on 8481 to go to total waste. For what it's worth, most journals' standards aren't unfathomable, you could 100% get your piece printed in one of them. Either way, published work is published work.
