Siren Song

rating: +56+x

A lonely siren on the beach
She pulls you in but stays out of reach
So listen to a siren’s song
What could possibly go wrong?

She had a normal life she loved
Then someone noticed up above
The current pulled her in so strong
What could possibly go wrong?

The world was stranger than she’d known
But she explored it on her own
She rushed in unprepared, headstrong
What could possibly go wrong?

A lone mistake that she forgot
Since then, a human she was not
So listen to this siren’s song
What could possibly go wrong?

She had a life, a job, and friends
But all those reached their bitter ends
The world she had to bid “so long”
What could possibly go wrong?

The world was changing fast and true
She found that she was changing too
And soon she sang the sirens’ song
What could possibly go wrong?

Consumed by sorrow she left home
But sorrow followed as she roamed
She came upon a city strong
What could possibly go wrong?

She made a life and she made friends
She even found true love again
But she grew weak as life went on
What could possibly go wrong?

A breakdown she could not take back
A new life that she couldn’t hack
She left the bustling city’s throng
What could possibly go wrong?

Well life went on, she found release
Her ocean home it gave her peace
So if you hear this, my swan song
What could possibly go wrong?
