Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-120 is stored inside the warehouse used for Safe-class anomalous objects approved for unattended containment at Site-138.
No containment procedures are necessary, as SCP-120's current whereabouts are unknown. No searches for the anomaly have yet been attempted.
Description:
SCP-120 is a circular pastel pink button placed in a plastic case. It is hypothesized that when pressed, a random object or creature within the same room spontaneously teleports to a random destination. The destinations are always on Earth. However, the destination will always be where the object or creature can fit.
Research into the anomaly has been involuntarily and indefinitely discontinued.
Addendum-01:
On July 18, 2010, SCP-120 was discovered in the kitchen of Site-138's cafeteria one hour prior to operation. The button was located on a prep counter with no evidence of burglary. FISC1 recorded kitchen staff curiously pressing the button several times, which subsequently caused utensils, food containers, and dishware to teleport.
Approximately 30 minutes after initial discovery, an investigation was launched by Site Director E. Kurmann after several items were reported missing from the kitchen. The investigation determined that each item listed as missing had disappeared simultaneously with the pressing of the button.
The button was designated for SCP-120 and approved for testing the following day.

On July 19, 2010, SCP-120 was lost during its first rounds of testing. You may view the test logs below.
Test Log-01-120
Assigned Personnel: Senior Researcher M. Eleigh
Procedure: 15 salt shakers were placed around the containment cell of SCP-120. GPS tracking devices are attached to each salt shaker.
Result: A salt shaker and its contents disappeared. However, the attached tracking device did not.
Notes:
Two hypotheses were made:
1. Disappearance appears to exclude objects attached to the target.
2. The separation of objects is based on the consensus as to what constitutes "one object."
Test Log-02-120
Assigned Personnel: Senior Researcher M. Eleigh
Procedure: A plastic container with 15 plastic balls was placed in SCP-120's containment cell.
Result: Researcher Eleigh subsequently disappeared upon pressing the button. His garments remained in the containment cell. He was later found three days later on the "Summit Floor" of the Eiffel Tower.
Notes:
Living creatures are affected by the button. Future tests will use D-Class personnel.
Test Log-03-120
Assigned Personnel: D-23562
Procedure: A plastic container with 15 plastic balls was placed in SCP-120's containment cell.
Result: A plastic ball disappeared.
Notes:
This supports the second hypothesis more than the first.
Test Log-04-120
Assigned Personnel: D-23562
Procedure: 8 GPS tracking devices were placed in the containment cell.
Result: After a tracking device was teleported, it was found within the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park, in Australia.
Notes:
Objects are hypothesized to not disappear, but teleport somewhere on Earth.
Test Log-05-120
Assigned Personnel: D-23562
Procedure: SCP-120 was placed in Site-138's garden.
Result: The button was pressed and subsequently disappeared.
Notes:
This was determined to be the reason SCP-120 entered Site-138's kitchen. It is unknown if the lack of a room was the cause. The result has abruptly ended research.
Addendum-03:
The item has undergone reclassification to Anomalous Item 120. This is due to the apparent uselessness of the anomaly and the inability to threaten the veil. This file will be updated when required or merits further research.
