Jeremiah Elbertson wakes up in a bizarre room. There are no windows, and there are no furniture. The concrete walls are lit with red light. As sirens blare, SCP-JERMA lurches around the room in a panic.

Where the hell am I?

He tries moving his arm. His arm does not move, but something transparent briefly appears near his eyes.

Am I in VR?

Transparency shimmers and disappears.

Why is it so hahd for me to move then? The lights and loud noises are freakin' me out right now. Chªat, this is too immersive. To whichevah one of you that recommended this VR set, fuck you. This is an out-standing experience.

Lights and alarms go quiet as another power outage occurs.

Something unlatches, and the doors to the room open.

I can move now! Oh Gawd, I-can-move-now.

Oh? So, I can just like… leave?

Why is there so much lag? I don't undastan'.

Oh, it's supposed t'do that. So, what ya sayin' is, they need to not be lookin' at me?

The interior of the room contains three dead people, a storage locker, a computer, a door from the containment room, and a door to the containment chamber. Frustrated, SCP-JERMA paces around the room; his concrete hands punch everything.

Sorry-sorry! I'm just tryin' to find a way out.

SCP-JERMA punches the computer at the same time as another power surge. He glitches through the door and ends up back in the hallway heading toward the intersection.

What the hell was that?

SCP-JERMA's vision is momentarily blinded. SCP-JERMA falls and shouts. Everything goes dark after another second.

What?

NO! Did my game just crash?

How did this happen?

Frustrated, he pushes himself from the ground.

Don't worry guys I'm gonna fix this!
