“No survivors found among the crew — likely devoured.”

Foreword: This report will be mandatorily displayed when you, a Foundation employee with Security Clearance Level 2 or lower and currently under the influence of SCP-1646-JP, attempt to access the Foundation servers from any terminal. You are obligated to read this report. In case you are not viewing this report within your dream, cease reading immediately and report to your system administrator.

Appearance of SCP-1646-JP-α. It should be noted, however, that this was drawn by an artist in reality, based on their highly vague recollection.

Item #: SCP-1646-JP
Is this the next one?

Object Class: Dagdagiel
I hope this person finishes reading this.

Special Containment Procedures: As of now, effective containment measures for SCP-1646-JP and SCP-1646-JP-α have not been established, and further research into containment methods is ongoing. Please refer to the following description for temporary containment measures.
Oh, how hungry I am.

Description: SCP-1646-JP is a recurring dream that is continuously experienced by a single person, or to be more precise, it is what you are currently dreaming. In most cases, SCP-1646-JP begins with you using some form of terminal to browse this report. If you stop reading the report through actions such as turning off the terminal or closing the displayed page, SCP-1646-JP ends immediately and you can wake up to reality. However, if you finish reading this report in its entirety, SCP-1646-JP promptly shifts to a situation where you are being attacked by an unknown, large creature (hereinafter referred to as SCP-1646-JP-α).
Hopefully I can get to the end this time.

SCP-1646-JP-α closely resembles a marine cryptid known as the many-finned sea serpent (or Σκολοπενδρα), and its total length is at least over eighteen meters. Once SCP-1646-JP-α detects your presence, you will be preyed upon within seconds to minutes. You feel no pain during this predation process. However, it is expected that you will be exposed to multiple psychological stresses during this time, as your consciousness will remain intact and perceive the entire course of being crushed, masticated, and digested within its mouth. During this predatory process, you can also wake up to reality by vividly imagining your own death within this dream.
I really hope they are stupidly serious person, or else gullible.

If you are completely digested inside SCP-1646-JP-α without waking up, SCP-1646-JP restarts from the scene where you began reading this report. Then, either when you finish reading the report, scroll to the very bottom of this page immediately, or leave the report open for about one hour, SCP-1646-JP shifts once again to the scene where you are being consumed by SCP-1646-JP-α.
Are they scared? Can they make it through this?

As I mentioned above, you can terminate SCP-1646-JP and wake up to reality, by either ceasing to read this report or by strongly imagining your own death during the predation process. However, once SCP-1646-JP is terminated, SCP-1646-JP-α manifests in physical form at an unspecified densely populated area in reality. SCP-1646-JP-α then proceeds to indiscriminately prey on surrounding humans until it has consumed a certain number of people, at which point it vanishes from the scene. The number of victims consumed before SCP-1646-JP-α vanishes seems to decrease in proportion to how many times you were consumed by SCP-1646-JP-α in the dream.
I'm definitely hungry now.

Additionally, upon SCP-1646-JP-α’s disappearance from reality, all elements related to SCP-1646-JP-α are removed from every record and information medium in reality. Memories and perceptions of the damage and casualties are also forcibly rationalized by being replaced with the belief that these were caused by a natural disaster or an act of destructive terrorism.
They haven't finished reading yet?

After that, the dream of someone else — likely a Foundation employee — will turn into a new SCP-1646-JP instance. Through this cycle, SCP-1646-JP and SCP-1646-JP-α persistently inflict anomalous effects and damage on both dreams and reality. However, these disturbances in both dreams and reality can only be perceived from within SCP-1646-JP itself, and the scale of the damage caused by SCP-1646-JP-α in reality remains unknown. To make matters worse, while the Foundation in reality is aware that something is happening, it has not even been able to grasp the full extent of the situation. To address the fact that SCP-1646-JP and SCP-1646-JP-α can only be perceived and recognized from within SCP-1646-JP, this dream realm unknown to anyone, I have assigned them a novel Object Class.
Not sure, this one is uncertain.

As you may have already guessed, at this point, the only way to contain SCP-1646-JP and SCP-1646-JP-α, even temporarily, is to keep SCP-1646-JP recurring semi-perpetually within a single person. Which means, essentially, that you must continue to sleep while dreaming a long, painful dream, without ever being allowed to wake up to reality.
I don't want to end up halfway through again.

I fully understand how cruel what I'm asking of you is. But please, I beg you. Lend me your help to contain SCP-1646-JP. Right now, the Foundation in reality has no one else to rely on, except for you here in this dream. Most importantly, the next person to read this report may not heed my words, and the devastation that could ensue is unimaginable. Your honor for containing this newly categorized anomaly will certainly be guaranteed. Your beloved family will also receive a reward befitting your service. But once you wake, you will forget everything about this dream.
Eh, whatever. Though I'd like them to hang on as long as possible.

So I ask you to let this dream continue, if not forever, then at least for as long as possible. Even if it’s just a few cycles, a few more rounds of consumption, that alone will help reduce the number of victims in your reality. And all of this is to buy time for the Foundation in your reality to establish a perfect containment method. This report will soon conclude. Once you reach the end, SCP-1646-JP-α will immediately sniff out your presence and come to you with no delay. Oh, dear, please. Please keep dreaming for as long as possible, as many times as you can.
I did my best, you see. Everything is to repeatedly savor you to the very end in this dream.

+ Addendum: The following text concludes the report. Continue reading?
All right, let's eat.

Thank you so much. I send you my greatest compliments and respect for your courageous act and contribution to the Foundation. Apparently SCP-1646-JP-α has spotted you. Please take care of yourself. Secure, Contain, Protect.
