SCP-9529, illustrated by Dir. Josie.

Item #: SCP-9529

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9529 is contained within the staff lounge. Flipping SCP-9529 vertically is prohibited.

Description: SCP-9529 is a domestic cat (Felis catus). The bottom half part of SCP-9529, comprising its four paws, half of its belly and the base of its tail, is missing. However, the interior of its abdominal cavity is invisible through the cross-section and the absence of its bottom body does not lead to any physiological problems.

SCP-9529 can walk with its two ears and tail tip, which function as its forepaws and hind paw. The structure of SCP-9529 is absolutely stable: the distance between the head end of its tail and the back end of its belly is always precisely 7.22 centimeters.

Appendix 9529.1:

On September 16th, 2025, Dir. Josie unintentionally traversed the gap of SCP-9529 and tripped it over. This immobilized SCP-9529 and prevented it from getting food for about 3 hours until it was rescued by Dr. Mozzarella.

Dir. Josie was soon punished with a one-week ban on cheese consumption.
