Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9188 is to be contained within a reinforced animal observation chamber located in the Aquatic Wing of Site-228.

While within visual range of SCP-9188, personnel must keep their hands in an open or neutral position at all times. The formation of clenched fists, punching motions, or any hand gestures resembling a fist is strictly prohibited.

All personnel entering SCP-9188's containment area are required to wear special gloves, engineered to physically inhibit the formation of a clenched fist.

The location of discovery is under surveillance for possible further anomalous activities.

Description: SCP-9188 is a cybernetically augmented great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias), approximately 6.5 meters in length.

The entity possesses several internal and external augmentations, which include four mechanized appendages directly integrated into the entity's skeletal structure.

These appendages can provide both bipedal and quadrupedal locomotion. During the bipedal mode, the entity can assume a vaguely humanoid posture while using the other two limbs as arms.

SCP-9188 remains completely inactive unless it visually detects a human hand forming a clenched fist. Upon detection, the entity enters an immediate hostile state, targeting the individual displaying the gesture and attempting to strike them repeatedly using its mechanical appendages.

Otherwise, the entity is non-hostile towards Foundation personnel.

Discovery Log:

SCP-9188 was discovered on 06/07/2025 during a corporate event hosted by Superior Packaging Co., held at the ███████ Convention Center.

At approximately 11:30 local time, a circular spatial anomaly opened in the center of the main event hall. Witnesses reported hearing a loud, masculine voice from it, stating:

"Do you think punching sharks is fun? Let's see how fun it is when they punch back!"

Following this statement, SCP-9188 emerged from the spatial anomaly, landing on the main stage.

Then the entity proceeded to punch through the "LONG LIVE SPC" sign above the stage. It also destroyed multiple booths, tables, and promotional displays before the arriving Mobile Task Force captured it.

Notably, the incident ended with no casualties and only a few injuries.

Incident Log:

Two days after the initial incident, while the convention center remained under Foundation surveillance, a second spatial anomaly briefly opened at the original manifestation point.

No entities emerged. Instead, a small cardboard package fell from the anomaly before it closed. The package bore a handwritten note:

Well… that's awkward, but it looks like we made a little mistake by confusing you guys with somebody else.

At least, nobody got seriously hurt.

As proof of our sincerest apologies, we packaged a whole bowl of our national dessert.

Regards,

Baron Bruce

Inside the package were several baked food items resembling cookies, composed primarily of processed fish remains and chum. No anomalous properties were detected.

Investigation into the identity of Baron Bruce, hereafter referred to as PoI-9188, is ongoing.
