Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2 are to be contained in a standard anomalous animal containment unit. Under no circumstances should either anomaly be allowed any form of interaction unless permitted by personnel with level 4 or higher clearance.
During any interaction between SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2, any nearby researchers are to monitor the surrounding area for signs of potential threats. Nearby guards are to implement preventive measures in case of any serious threat to Foundation personnel or equipment.
As of the current moment, all staff assigned to SCP-8548 are required to report on any changes to the relationship between SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2, as well as help minimize any conflicts between either anomaly.
SCP-8548-1
SCP-8548-2
Description: SCP-8548 refers to a probabilistic anomaly that manifests when SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2 interact with one another. Whenever both entities are placed directly in front of each other and begin to act aggressively towards one another, it causes several probabilistic errors to occur.
Any object or event within the radius of SCP-8548 will result in undesirable outcomes, such as some form of destruction or otherwise catastrophe.
Though the nature of SCP-8548 has caused several failures at Site-225, SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2 are unable to be physically separated from one another. Any attempt to separate SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2 for longer than 2 and a half hours will result in both anomalies causing SCP-8548 to occur within a 50 meter radius of where both anomalies are located.
SCP-8548 will not occur until several minutes1 of arguing between SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2, in which both anomalies lose their ability of speech and resort to the common noises2 of their respective species.
SCP-8548-1 refers to a sapient male black cat (Felis Catus) with the ability of speech. SCP-8548-1 has shown to be hostile to most staff members at Site-225 and is commonly described as having sarcastic and aggressive tendencies, as well as being generally antisocial.
SCP-8548-2 refers to a sapient male Golden Retriever (Canis Lupus Familiaris) with the ability of speech. SCP-8548-2 is commonly regarded as “playful and friendly” towards staff members at Site-225 and rarely exhibits any aggressive behavior except when it comes into contact with SCP-8548-1.
Both anomalies have described each other negatively and are resistant to any attempt to influence their relationship.
Addendum 8548.1: Interview Log between SCP-8548-1 and Dr. Reschell.
After this interview, SCP-8548-1 was given behavioral therapy from Anomalous Animal Therapist Bryan Ellison, which appeared to be largely ineffective in treating and helping SCP-8548-1 learn compassion and kindness.
After several weeks of attempted treatment, the procedure was discontinued.

Following this log, SCP-8548-2 was prepped for an interview with Dr. Reschell as Foundation staff began to hypothesize over various ways a healthy bond could be established between SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2.

Following this log, several attempts were made to mend the relationship between SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2, all of which were deemed failures. The following below is a test log of all attempts made.

| 10/11/2021 | SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2 were permitted contact with SCP-6366-1 and SCP-6366-2 respectively in an attempt to showcase SCP-6366-1 and SCP-6366-2’s friendship. Both SCP-6366-1 and SCP-6366-2 were instructed to showcase their friendship before speaking privately to SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2. Unfortunately, in their attempt to showcase off their bond, SCP-6366-1 and SCP-6366-2 began to engage in an argument, resulting in SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2 to start arguing as well. In approximately seven minutes, all entities were engaged in a large dispute, resulting in a large-scale power surge that knocked out the power of the second sub level of Site-225 for 5 minutes.3 | Severe |
| 11/29/2021 | Both entities were locked into a joint containment center with a number of guards on standby as they were told that they were not going to be let out until they had resolved their issues. Neither entity spoke to each other nor did they respond when repeatedly questioned about their mutual disdain for the other party. Addendum 8548.5: Test Between Various Anomalies
After multiple failed attempts to get both anomalies to get along, the project was deemed a failure and was to be abandoned as researchers studied alternative ways to prevent SCP-8548 from occurring.
However, on 9/25/2021, Site-225 experienced a site-wide containment breach caused by SCP-6773. Several sections of SCP-8548-1 and SCP-8548-2’s cells were destroyed, allowing for both anomalies to escape their cells.

After this incident, SCP-8548-2 was transported to a medical ward for treatment as SCP-8548-1 was relocated back to its containment chamber. Despite the severity of the containment breach, SCP-8548-2 was found to have suffered no significant injuries and was expected to make a full recovery.
