The victor of a game of kok boru
Special Containment Procedures: All SCP-8239-1 instances are to be stored at Site-58, with on-site counseling made available to help alleviate any feelings of body dysmorphia caused by their condition. Euthanasia is also to be made available to SCP-8239-1 instances on request.
Embedded Foundation agents within Kyrgyzstan should lobby to ensure that wolves are not used in the game of kok boru.1 If a game of kok boru using a wolf is discovered, Foundation agents are to ensure that no women are allowed to witness or participate in the game in any way.
Description: SCP-8239 is a phenomenon affecting any woman who witnesses or participates in any game of kok boru that uses a wolf carcass, and which takes place within the region of modern-day Kyrgyzstan.2. Any woman affected by SCP-8239 undergoes a rapid and complete biological metamorphosis into a female domesticated horse3 and is designated SCP-8239-1. SCP-8239-1 instances are biologically indistinguishable from non-anomalous horses yet retain a human level of intelligence as well as all their prior memories.
Addendum 1: On 05/06/1997, Agent Yuriya Vlasova and Agent Mazhi Osmonova were assigned to conduct routine surveillance of rural communities throughout the former Soviet Union to watch for any potential Sarkic resurgence following the disbanding of GRU Division "P". It was during an excursion into Kyrgyzstan on this date that Agent Vlasova accidentally witnessed an instance of SCP-8239-A and was transformed into an SCP-8239-1 instance. Agent Osmonova conducted an emergency field interview with Agent Vlasova immediately following this.
Interviewed: Agent Yuriya Vlasova
Interviewer: Agent Mazhi Osmonova
Foreword: Impromptu field interview conducted with Agent Vlasova following her sudden transformation into an instance of SCP-8239-1. Agent Vlasova communicated via a mouth-operated text-to-speech device issued in case of any potential Sarkic mutation.
<Begin Log>
Osmonova: Alright, now that we are a bit out of dodge, do you think that you have calmed down enough that we can conduct the field interview?
Vlasova: YES.
Osmonova: Good, good. Let's begin. Can you state your name and date of birth?
Vlasova: YURIYA VLASOVA. 12/12/67.
Osmonova: Okay. How are you feeling? Are you in any physical pain?
Vlasova: NO. BUT I AM DISORIENTED. VISION IS STRANGE, SMELLS ARE MUCH STRONGER.
Osmonova: Yeah, I imagine panoramic vision will take some getting used to. Just about all your senses should have some major changes. But it's nothing you can't handle. Next, we need to confirm that your memories have been retained. What is a memory that only you and I know about, something that can confirm you still are who you say you are?
Vlasova: 10 YEARS AGO, I WAS A JUNIOR AGENT IN THE KGB. I WAS ON MY FIRST ASSIGNMENT IN BISHKEK. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE TRAILING A PARTY OFFICIAL WHO HAD BEEN IN CONTACT WITH A WESTERN AGRICULTURAL COMPANY. INSTEAD, I SPOTTED YOU, AND THE KIDNAPPERS. I ABANDONED MY MISSION TO CHASE AFTER YOU. WHEN I BURST INTO THE HOUSE WHERE THEY HAD TAKEN YOU, YOU LOOKED MORE ANNOYED THAN ANYTHING. WHEN I SHOUTED MY THREATS AT THEM IN AWFUL BROKEN KYRGIZ, YOU GIGGLED.
Osmonova: You saved my life.
Vlasova: DON'T BE DRAMATIC, YOU WERE AN EMBEDDED FOUNDATION AGENT. YOU WEREN'T IN ANY REAL DANGER.
Osmonova: Who knows what could have happened while the higher-ups waited to decide if I was worth the trouble of rescuing?
Vlasova: AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE INTERVIEWING ME?
Osmonova: Fine, little miss professional. Are you having any horse-like thoughts?
Vlasova: WELL, NOW I KIND OF WANT TO KICK YOU.
Osmonova: Nothing unusual, got it. But in all seriousness, we have to confirm that this change is purely physical. I need to know if your identity has been altered by this. What are your goals and aspirations?
Vlasova: CURRENTLY I WANT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING MORE THAN TO STOP BEING A HORSE. I DON'T THINK I CAN CONVEY HOW VICERALLY UNPLEASANT IT IS TO BE IN A BODY YOUR MIND IS NOT PSYCHOLOGICALLY DESIGNED TO INHABIT. I WOULD VOMIT IF IT WERE PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE TO DO SO. I HAVE BEEN TO SITE-58, I HAVE SEEN THE OTHER SCP-8239-1 INSTANCES. I HAVE SEEN THEIR HOLLOW, DEFEATED EYES AS THEY TROT INTO THAT GLORIFIED GLUE FACTORY. I CATAGORICALLY REFUSE TO END LIKE THAT.
Osmonova: What about your long-term goals? Something from before this happened to you?
Vlasova: I WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE WORKING ALONGSIDE YOU IN SERVICE TO THE FOUNDATION, TO ENSURE THAT WE CAN LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE REASON, MERITOCRACY, AND THE PHILOSOPHY OF DIALECTICAL MATERIALISM CAN PREVAIL OVER REACTIONARY SUPERSTITION.
Osmonova: Is that what you said during your Foundation recruitment interview?
Vlasova: ASIDE FROM THE BIT ABOUT BEING A HORSE? YES.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: While she is clearly shaken and disturbed by the transformation that has taken place, I am confident that the mind of Agent Vlasova is as sharp as ever. I am formally requesting that Agent Vlasova and I be allowed to continue our operations here in Kyrgyzstan so that we can attempt to find a way of reversing her condition. Yuriya is a devoted agent who has maintained a spotless record of service throughout her almost decade of work for the Foundation. I believe any resources expended on this mission will be made up for a hundredfold by the value to the Foundation she can provide through her continued employment with us. She deserves better than this.
Addendum 2: Agent Osmonova's request to attempt to reverse the effects of SCP-8239 on Agent Vlasova was approved by her special operations coordinator. Posing as a Russian equestrian and historian, Agent Osmonova traveled throughout Kyrgyzstan searching for possible leads as to the cause of SCP-8239. Her search eventually led to an extremely isolated community within the Kemin Mountains, which still practices the traditional animist religion native to the region, with claims that their healers and shamans were capable of some small degree of thaumaturgy. There, she was able to conduct an interview with a local shaman.
Interviewed: Akylbek Tursonov, Local Shaman
Interviewer: Agent Osmonova
Foreword: A brief interview with Akylbek Tursonov, a local village shaman. Agent Osmonova is posing as a historian interested in equestrian sports in the region. She has provided the village with a large supply of food and supplies to help ensure friendly relations.
<Begin Log>
Osmonova: Thank you for agreeing to meet with me out here. You have a lovely village.
Tursonov: You are welcome. But I must ask why we are meeting out here? My yurt is much warmer.
Osmonova: I do apologize, my horse gets a bit nervous around strangers. I thought it would be better if I stayed close.
Tursonov: Good training can break her of those nerves. I understand that when you have a beast as fine and gentle as this, it can be tempting to spoil her, but a firm hand is sometimes needed.
Osmonova: I will keep that in mind. But it isn't your knowledge of horses I came for. I must say you are far younger than I would have imagined for a shaman. You can't be older than 25.
Tursonov: Why is this surprising? What business do the old have in spiritual matters? Those whose spirits have already all but left them.
Osmonova: I don't believe that is a common belief among your countrymen.
Tursonov: What countrymen? The people of this village are my countrymen. The beliefs of those in the next village over matter as much to me as the beliefs of those in Moscow, or the beliefs of those even further afield, in those places whose names I do not care to know.
Osmonova: Of course. If you don't mind, I would like to ask a few questions about the game of kok boru. Can you tell me of its origins?
Tursonov: It is a game far too brutal for women.
Osmonova: I didn't ask you that. I asked about the origins of the game.
Tursonov: Fine. Only because of the generosity you have shown my people. Some of the foods you have shared are so rare and fine to us that our women may not know what to do with them. You must share some recipes with them.
Osmonova: I will see if I can find the time. Now, the origins of the game?
Tursonov: Kok boru began centuries ago. When wolves would threaten our herds, the men would ride out and slay them. The game would then be played using the body of the beast. It was partially to celebrate. But more importantly, it is a way to hone one's skill on the saddle. It helps men learn how to cooperate with other riders. As well as how not to cooperate with them.
Osmonova: These days, sheep or goats are used in place of wolves, however.
Tursonov: Yes. Wolves are extinct in our lands, and so we have livestock to spare. A testament to our skill as both shepherds and hunters.
Osmonova: What if there turned out to still be some wolves out there?
Tursonov: I would say you are mistaken. But if someone did manage to find a wolf out here somewhere, I know exactly what they would do with it.
Osmonova: Does the game have any spiritual significance?
Tursonov: All things men do have spiritual significance. Especially those things which set them against each other. But I suppose you want something specific. I do not think there is any relation, but there is a spirit that shares the same name as the sport. As you know, kok boru means blue wolf. This is his name.
Osmonova: Tell me about this Blue Wolf.
Tursonov: It is said that when our people were driven from the steppe and into the mountains, the Blue Wolf came with us. When he met the gods of the mountains, they hid behind their ranges like cowards behind castle walls. The Blue Wolf rode above the mountains and conquered them as his vassals. Those who yielded were gifted courage and taught to ride and fight, but were forced to abandon their wives and children. But those who refused were turned into mounts for those who did.
Osmonova: Where can I find the Blue Wolf?
Tursonov: There is said to be a path up a nearby mountain which leads to his home, though none go up it. One of our men can lead you there if you wish to die.
Osmonova: Can my horse make it on the path?
Tursonov: Any place a man cannot ride, he cannot walk.
<End Log>Closing Statement: Yuriya and I rode to the beginning of the path that was described to us. The name of this spirit and its supposed proclivity for turning people into horses cannot be a coincidence. We are going to make camp here and begin our hike in the morning.
Addendum 3: Agent Osmonova ventured up the designated path while mounted on Agent Vlasova's back. During this excursion, Agent Osmonova and Agent Vlasova encountered a powerful anomalous entity. A log of this exploratory mission is inscribed below.
Exploration Video Log Transcript
Date: 06/17/1997
Subject: Suspected location of an unknown anomalous entity which may be responsible for SCP-8239
Team Members: Agent Yuriya Vlasova and Agent Mazhi Osmonova
[BEGIN LOG]
Agent Osmonova rides on the back of Agent Vlasova. The two slowly make their way up a narrow stony path up the mountain for several hours before any of them speaks.
Osmonova: So, do you really believe that working for the Foundation advances global communism somehow?
Vlasova: WITHOUT QUESTION.
Osmonova: How can you possibly think that?
Vlasova: IT IS A STATE APPARATUS WHICH EXISTS BEYOND THE SCOPE OF NATIONALISM, ENTIRELY DIVORCED FROM CAPITAL INTERESTS. AND IT IS SOLELY DEDICATED TO ENSURING THAT A MATERIALIST WORLDVIEW BASED ON COHERENT SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES IS ACCEPTED WORLDWIDE. HOW COULD I NOT?
Osmonova: But aren't anomalies part of our material conditions? Isn't hiding them refusing to engage with the world as it objectively exists?
Vlasova: NO. MATERIAL REALITY OBEYS CONSISTENT LAWS OF CAUSE AND EFFECT. ANOMALIES BEHAVE IN RANDOM INCOHERENT WAYS THAT MIRROR THE REACTIONARY BELIEFS THAT CREATE THEM.
Osmonova: So, wait, you think that the only reason anomalies exist is that reactionaries are somehow so deluded that they have managed to violate cause and effect?
Vlasova: YES. AND ONCE THE FOUNDATION REALIZES THAT IT CAN ACHIEVE ITS TRUE PURPOSE. TO USE ITS INCREDIBLE POWER TO CREATE A STATELESS, CLASSLESS SOCIETY ACROSS THE ENTIRE WORLD.
Osmonova: That is utterly insane.
Vlasova: SO WHY DO YOU SERVE THE FOUNDATION THEN?
Osmonova: At first, it was because it seemed exciting. It offered me a much more meaningful and interesting life than being the wife of some farmer at the edge of a dying empire.
Vlasova: ADVENTURIST.
Osmonova: But now I do it because the woman I love is a lunatic who thinks the ghost of Karl Marx would want me to. A woman who needs me to look out for her. A woman who gets herself turned into a horse because she can't remember to do basic cognitohazard screening before conducting surveillance.
Vlasova: I'M SUPRISED THEY EVEN LET US DO THIS MISSION. I WAS SURE THEY WERE GONNA JUST SEND ME RIGHT TO SITE-58.
Osmonova: I'm not, you've earned a few favors at this point. You are sometimes a reckless idiot, but you are a true believer, and those are rare enough that the bosses are willing to expend some resources to keep them around.
Vlasova: I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT IDEALISTS ARE ENOUGH OF A RARE COMMODITY THAT THEY WILL ORGANIZE A WHOLE MISSION JUST TO SAVE ONE OF US.
Osmonova: Maybe not. But most haven't been around long enough to earn a record like yours. The things you've done in 10 years lots of people don't accomplish in 20.
Vlasova: DID YOU READ MY PERSONNEL FILE?
Osmonova: Only a few times.
Vlasova: A FEW TIMES? GOD, YOU ARE PATHETIC.
Osmonova: What? Is there something wrong with keeping up to date on my colleagues' accomplishments?
Vlasova: YEAH, BET YOU WERE KEEPING REAL UP TO DATE. DROOLING OVER A MANILA FOLDER LIKE A GIANT GEEK.
Osmonova: I knew I should have bought some spurs.
Vlasova: PLEASE DON'T MAKE HORSE JOKES. I'M TRYING NOT TO THINK ABOUT IT.
Osmonova: I'm sorry. It's sort of hard to ignore while I'm riding on your back.
Vlasova: THAT PART I DON'T MIND SO MUCH.
Osmonova: Well, for what it's worth, that dickhead shaman was right. You do make a lovely horse.
Vlasova: MY HAIR WAS NICER WHEN I WAS HUMAN.
Osmonova: That is a good point. Losing those curls might be a dealbreaker.
The trail reaches a wide grass-covered clearing which seemingly protrudes from the side of the mountain. A large stone with an elaborate carving of a wolf-headed man with a horse in its jaws marks the end of the trail.
Osmonova: We're here.
Vlasova: THIS IS DEFINITELY AN ANOMALOUS TOPOGRAPHY. IT'S LIKE SOMEONE LIFTED A PIECE OF THE STEPPE AND JAMMED IT INTO THE SIDE OF THIS MOUNTAIN. I'M SHOCKED WE COULDN'T SEE IT FROM THE GROUND.
Osmonova: Whatever is living up here must be concealing it somehow. Our solution is here; I can feel it.
Both agents enter the wide clearing and begin riding across at a much faster pace. Eventually, a small yurt is seen in the distance, surrounded by a large number of horses.
Osmonova: That must be him. Let's move!
The two rapidly approach the yurt before stopping outside. When they reach the outside of the yurt, a shadow suddenly passes over the sky, shifting from day to night. The sky is filled with stars that match no known constellations. Horses mill about nearby. Each one laden with saddles but no harnesses. The yurt is made from dark, tight leather, and smoke can be seen emanating from the roof. The smoke appears to take the shape of various animals before drifting away.
Osmonova: Unbelievable.
Vlasova: MAZHI, THESE HORSES. THEY ARE SCP-8239-1 INSTANCES.
Osmonova: We need to press forward. Osmonova begins speaking to the yurt. Spirit of this field! I humbly ask that you speak with us!
A man who appears to be in his early 30s is seen emerging from the yurt. He is dressed in colorful, decorated armor typical of pre-modern central Asian nomadic cultures. He has a large black beard that appears intricately braided. At his right side is a large, curved longsword. On his left side is a long, embroidered whip.
Blue Wolf: You come before the Blue Wolf. And it would seem you have brought me a gift. One of my beloved mares. Thieves have been taking quite a few lately. I would track them down if I didn't have so many already. Still, it gladdens me to see an honest woman in these dishonest times.
Osmonova: I'm afraid I am not here to give her over to you. Quite the opposite. I have come to request her humanity be returned.
Vlasova: I WANT MY BODY BACK. AND I WANT THE SAME FOR ALL THESE WOMEN YOU HAVE MUTILATED.
Blue Wolf laughs uproariously.
Blue Wolf: What an amusing little contraption. Why would anyone want to give their mount the power of complaint?
Blue Wolf snaps his fingers, and Vlasova's text-to-speech device begins to smoke as its circuits are fried out. Vlasova rears up and whinnies loudly.
Blue Wolf: As for your request. I will not change her back. She is mine by right.
Osmonova: What right could you possibly have to her? All this because she witnessed 10 seconds of a game?
Blue Wolf: It is not just a game! It is my game! It bears my name! I brought it with me when I came into this land! I am its embodiment!
Osmonova: But why do this? Why do this to these women?
Blue Wolf: The game is not for them. Nature binds men and women together. Tethered by their very flesh. For men to know one another, a reason must be given, a goal to be achieved. War can fulfil this purpose. But war is too serious, too difficult to control. It is for this reason that sport must exist.
Blue Wolf begins pacing erratically, thumbing at his weapons as his voice begins to grow louder.
Blue Wolf: Men may know one another, feel passion for one another, and touch one another all under the umbrella of competition. A competition where your kind, implicitly or explicitly, is the prize to be won. Through this, the bond formed by nature can be made subservient to the bond made by men. A woman who intrudes on this sacred ritual must be punished.
Osmonova: This is madness. She didn't even mean to intrude! It was an accident!
Blue Wolf: If the rules are not kept, then the game means nothing!
Osmonova: I demand you restore her.
Blue Wolf: How dare you make demands of me! You were born to serve! Perhaps a new form would make you more aware of your place.
Osmonova: Wait! I challenge you!
Blue Wolf: What?
Osmonova: You said you were the embodiment of this game. To deny a challenge would be to deny your very nature.
Blue Wolf: Fine! State your challenge so I can humiliate you even further.
Osmonova: You and me, we play kok boru. I use her as my mount. If I win, you must restore her and all the other horses here.
Blue Wolf: Fine, but only the horses that play the game on your side. You cannot win a prize for someone else. And if I win, you will be pulling a plow until the end of time!
Osmonova: Deal.
Three horses step away from the rest as clouds begin to form overhead. Suddenly, three bolts of lightning strike the horses on their saddles and three men dressed in armor similar to the Blue Wolf appear on their back.
Blue Wolf: These gods of the mountain will play alongside me. They are called Stone, Cloud, and Cold. Where family once made us foes, sport has bound us as brothers. You must find three others with the courage to play with you. They must be women; I will not allow you to pull some soft-hearted man into this as your rescuer.
Osmonova: Fine by me.
Blue Wolf: Do you truly believe that you can find anyone who can challenge me? The honorable choice would be to face your punishment now, instead of spreading it to those foolish enough to try to rescue you.
Osmonova: Let me make some calls.
[END LOG]
Addendum 4: Following the arrangement made between Agent Osmonova and the entity referring to itself as Blue Wolf, Agent Osmonova requested assistance from any female Mobile Task Force members within deployment range that had sufficient horse riding skills to participate. Given the risks involved in such a mission and the relatively minor benefit of success, the regional operations command chose to allow the mission to be undertaken, but only on an entirely volunteer basis, with no backup provided in the event of failure. Three available operatives volunteered to participate in this mission under these circumstances: Agent Brittany Sanderson, a member of MTF Gamma-4 ("Green Stags"), Agent Yinuo Liu, a member of MTF Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots"), and Agent Hasina El-Masiri, a member of MTF Alpha-1 ("Red Right Hand"). All three volunteers were flown to the coordinates provided by Agent Osmonova, and the game took place the following morning. The game was agreed to be best two out of three, with each round lasting up to 20 minutes or until either team scores a goal. With 10-minute breaks between rounds. Normally, kok boru teams consist of 8-12 players, with 4 players participating in each round. But due to the smaller size of these teams, it was agreed that both groups of 4 would play for the entire game.

06:00 THE GAME BEGINS AS OSMONOVA AND BLUE WOLF CHARGE TO THE CENTER OF THE FIELD TOWARDS THE WOLF CARCASS. STONE AND CLOUD CHARGE ALONGSIDE BLUE WOLF AS COLD RUNS OUT FURTHER AFIELD.
Osmonova: Sanderson, go catch Cold before he can flank us!
Sanderson: I'll get his ass.
06:03 STONE AND CLOUD RUN AHEAD OF BLUE WOLF TO STOP OSMONOVA BUT ARE INTERCEPTED BY SANDERSON AND EL-MASIRI. SANDERSON CHARGES INTO THE OUTFIELD TO INTERCEPT COLD.
06:08 BLUE WOLF AND OSMONOVA BOTH GRAB THE CARCASS SIMULTANEOUSLY AND BEGIN TO PULL IT BACK AND FORTH.
Blue Wolf: I'm looking forward to branding you when this is over.
Osmonova: Big talk from someone who isn't strong enough to pull this out of my hand.
Blue Wolf: I don't need to be strong enough; this game is more than tug of war girl.
06:11 COLD CRASHES INTO OSMONOVAS SIDE, THROWING HER OFF VLASOVA'S BACK AND KNOCKING VLASOVA ONTO HER SIDE.
Sanderson: Damn it! I wasn't fast enough.
El-Masiri: He is going for the carcass. Let's try and be fast enough now.
06:13 BLUE WOLF GRABS THE CARCASS AND RUSHES TOWARDS THE GOAL, WITH SANDERSON, EL-MASIRI, AND LIU IN PERSUIT.
06:15 BLUE WOLF REACHES THE GOAL AND TOSSES THE CARCASS INTO IT. ENDING THE ROUND.
Blue Wolf: You are neither swift nor strong nor clever. Truly you are doomed.

Sanderson: I'm sorry, I completely lost us that round.
Osmonova: It's ok. I should have been watching my side. We all made mistakes.
El-Masiri: I didn't.
Liu: You signed up for this insane mission. We're all capable of making mistakes here.
Osmonova: Blue Wolf is the real danger on their team. The rest just follow his lead. If we can isolate him the rest will crumble.
El-Masiri: I say we black bag the fucker, strap him to a reality anchor and start taking fingers till he agrees to change them all back.
Osmonova: That incredibly risky plan is our backup option. For now, I suggest you guys try to keep him busy and out of the action for as long as possible. He is pissed at me so he will probably try to target me the most. So, I will hang back until the moment is right.
Sanderson: Why isn't Vlasova using the new speech device we brought her?
Osmonova: I was lucky that Blue Wolf even accepted my challenge. If he decides that her being able to talk is an unfair advantage, he may just cancel the match and do God knows what to us.
Vlasova nickers in agreement.
Liu: I still think we can do this. We can't lose to a guy who doesn't even know what a lightbulb is.

06:25: EL-MASIRI AND LIU CHARGE TOWARD THE CENTER OF THE FIELD TO BLOCK BLUE WOLF. THEY CIRCLE HIM TO PREVENT HIM FROM CHARGING FORWARD. OSMONOVA REMAINS STILL AS SANDERSON CHARGES TOWARD THE CARCASS.
Blue Wolf: Out of my way you miserable whores!
El-Masiri: I've dealt with tougher gods than you.
06:28: BLUE WOLF PUSHES PAST EL-MASIRI, BUT EL-MASIRI MANAGES TO CAUSE HIS HORSE TO STUMBLE, SLOWING HIS ADVANCE. SANDERSON GRABS THE CARCASS AS STONE, CLOUD, AND COLD SURROUND HER AND ATTEMPT TO STEAL THE CARCASS. OSMONOVA CHARGES FORWARD.
Sanderson: Need some help here!
Cold: There is no escape.
Cloud: Surrender now and I make you my lover instead of my steed.
Osmonova: Toss the wolf!
Sanderson: It weighs like 80 pounds!
Osmonova: So toss it hard!
06:34 SANDERSON THROWS THE CARCASS OVER COLD'S HEAD AS OSMONOVA CATCHES IT. OSMONOVA RUSHES TOWARD THE GOAL. BLUE WOLF ATTEMPTS TO GIVE CHASE BUT IS BLOCKED BY THE TANGLE OF HORSES IN HIS PATH.
Blue Wolf: Forget the girl and get your mounts under control you morons! Enough, I'll catch her myself.
06:42 BLUE WOLF CIRCLES AROUND THE OTHER PLAYERS TO CATCH OSMONOVA
Blue Wolf: You cannot get away from me. To outpace me is to outpace the wind.
Osmonova: I have too much head start. I've won this round.
Blue Wolf: I don't have to beat you; I only have to beat her!
06:42 BLUE WOLF PUSHES INTO VLASOVA IN AN EFFORT TO KNOCK HER OVER. VLASOVA MANAGES MAINTAIN BALANCE AND OSMONOVA SCORES ENDING THE ROUND.
Osmonova: See you in the final round. I'm beginning to like this game.
Blue Wolf: You won't for much longer.

Liu: Now that's how we do it in the motherfucking Foundation! We run the world bitch!
Osmonova: Let's not get too confident. If Vlasova hadn't held up, he still could have clenched us.
Sanderson: Still, we found ourselves a good strategy.
El-Masiri: He won't fall for the same trick twice.
Osmonova: I agree. That's why I have a new strategy. I say we use brute force.
Liu: How is that a good strategy?
Osmonova: He has been toying with us so far. But I saw it in his eyes. He has had enough of this. This is a game that he literally embodies. If he sets his mind to it, he can outsmart any play we come up with.
Sanderson: So, we don't do any play.
Osmonova: Exactly, we form a line and charge right at the bastards with everything we've got.
Liu: What if they have a plan for that?
Osmonova: Maybe, but we are supposed to be cowardly and weak-willed women. If we give them a full-frontal assault, their egos will give them no choice but to meet it.
El-Masiri: The clash will be chaos. We will have no control over what happens.
Osmonova: It's risky, but it's the best chance we have got. I know that we can do this, we have no choice.

06:52 BOTH TEAMS CHARGE DIRECTLY TOWARD ONE ANOTHER. EL-MASIRI CRASHES INTO COLD, AND BOTH ARE THROWN FROM THEIR HORSES. CLOUD GRABS SANDERSON AND PULLS HER OFF HER HORSE. LIU DUCKS AWAY FROM THE CHARGE OF STONE, CAUSING HIS HORSE TO TRIP AND THROW HIM TO THE GROUND. BLUE WOLF AND OSMONOVA BOTH GRAB THE CARCASS AND BEGIN FIGHTING FOR IT.
Blue Wolf: A fierce charge. Was that courage or desperation?
Osmonova: Bloodlust.
Blue Wolf: Don't you remember what happened the last time we pulled this thing back and forth?
Osmonova: All too well.
06:57: LIU RUSHES INTO BLUE WOLF, CAUSING HIM TO LET GO OF THE CARCASS, ALLOWING OSMONOVA TO RUN AWAY WITH IT.
Blue Wolf: I'll skin you alive for that! Someone catch her!
06:57: BLUE WOLF GRABS LIU BY HER HEAD AND PULLS HER FROM THE SADDLE, TOSSING HER TO THE GROUND. CLOUD PURSUES OSMONOVA.
Cloud: I was the sovereign lord of this mountain. You cannot resist me.
Osmonova: You were sovereign until Blue Wolf beat you. If he can do it, so can I.
07:04: CLOUD RUSHES ALONG SIDE OSMONOVA AND GRABS THE CARCASS.
Cloud: I am stronger than you.
Osmonova: You are too strong for your own good.
OSMONOVA AND CLOUD PULL THE CARCASS BACK AND FORTH. EVENTUALLY CLOUD ACCIDENTALLY RIPS OFF THE LEG THAT HE IS HOLDING ON TO, CAUSING HIM AND HIS HORSE TO STUMBLE BACK AND FALL OVER.
Blue Wolf: Now it's just me and you.
07:09 OSMONOVA RUSHES TOWARD THE GOAL AS BLUE WOLF APPROACHES FROM BEHIND.
Blue Wolf: This is over you arrogant cow.
07:09 BLUE WOLF PUNCHES OSMONOVA ON THE BACK OF HER HEAD, CAUSING HER TO BE KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND DROP THE CARCASS.
Blue Wolf: You aren't worthy to ride. I'm going to cook you when this is over.
07:09 BLUE WOLF'S HORSE KICKS VLASOVA'S LEG, BREAKING HER LEFT FRONT FEMUR. BLUE WOLF GRABS THE CARCASS AND RUSHES TOWARDS THE GOAL.
07:10 VLASOVA PULLS HERSELF UP WITH OSMONOVA UNCONSCIOUS, STRAPPED TO THE SADDLE. SHE RUNS IN PURSUIT OF BLUE WOLF AND PUSHES HER HEAD UNDER THE LEFT BACK LEG OF HIS HORSE, CAUSING BOTH THE HORSE AND BLUE WOLF TO FALL OVER. THE CARCASS IS SENT FLYING THROUGH THE AIR AS VLASOVA LEAPS OVER BLUE WOLF TO CATCH IT IN HER TEETH.
Blue Wolf: No! You cannot do this!
07:10 BLUE WOLF ATTEMPTS TO CATCH VLASOVA ON FOOT AS SHE RUSHES TO THE GOAL AND SCORES, ENDING THE GAME.

Immediately after the conclusion of the game, a dense fog appears over the field, entirely obscuring all visibility in the area. When the fog dissipates, Agent Vlasova has been restored to human form, and all the game's participants had been transported to a field just outside the village at the base of the mountain.
Vlasova: Oh god. My leg is broken. And I'm naked. I'm naked and my leg is broken.
Sanderson: We did it! Oh my god we did it!
Liu: Yuriya, you're human again!
Vlasova: So it would seem. Where's Mazhi?
El-Masiri: She is right over there.
Osmonova regains consciousness and begins slowly standing upright. She spots Vlasova and rushes over to her and embraces her.
Osmonova: Oh god. I was sure. When he got me, I thought. I thought when I opened my eyes again, I would be-
Vlasova: Never.
Osmonova: You saved me. You saved me again.
Osmonova chuckles.
Osmonova: You couldn't let me save you this time? You couldn't let me be the hero?
Vlasova: Oh darling, it was a team effort. Always has been.
Vlasova and Osmonova kiss.

Addendum 5: Alongside the Foundation agents who participated in the game, 3 women who matched missing persons reports from the nearby area, presumably the SCP-8239-1 instances who participated in the game, were found in the field alongside the agents. These women have since been amnestitized and given new identities. All subsequent excursions up the mountain where the game took place have shown no sign of anomalous activity. Agent Osmonova and Agent Vlasova were each awarded the Foundation Dutiful Star and have begun working at Site-58 with SCP-8239-1 instances to try to summon the entity known as Blue Wolf so that they can be cured as well.
