Item #: SCP-8192
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8192 is currently uncontained. Mobile Task Force Lambda-5 "White Rabbits", a Foundation group specialized in dealing with reality altering anomalies and associated spaces, has been assigned to the ongoing effort of locating, contacting and containing SCP-8192. The public awareness of DESIRE events is to be kept at a minimum with standard cover-up procedures.
Description: SCP-8192 is a human male, government name Gervasius Clint, that displays conditional ontokinetic (colloquially, "reality bending") capabilities. SCP-8192 will periodically seek out individuals (hereby referred to as SCP-8192-A instances) with which it might engage in a DESIRE event (see below). The anomaly has not been observed to use its abilities outside of these circumstances. Therefore, it is believed that SCP-8192 can only alter reality inside the context of DESIRE events.
DESIRE Events: A DESIRE event is a temporary narrative displacement of an SCP-8192-A instance into a fictional story of SCP-8192’s creation, followed by the return of the SCP-8192-A instance to baseline reality. Simultaneously, an alteration of reality of the instance's choosing is performed by SCP-8192.
DESIRE events are a form of exchange. The anomaly offers anomalous intervention into some aspect of the SCP-8192-A instance's life, while in return it requests their temporary insertion into, and completion of, a narrative.
For SCP-8192 to initiate a DESIRE event, the request must be made personally, and cannot affect individuals SCP-8192 has not been in contact with.
In baseline reality, no discernible time passes between the moment of insertion and the moment of return, independently of the perceived time spent by the instance within the narrative. SCP-8192 appears to also enter and exit the narrative with the instance. However, interaction between anomaly and instance within the narrative is rarely observed.
SCP-8192 has repeatedly written and published stories derived from the aforementioned narratives, promoting its mostly non-anomalous lifestyle. To date, all recorded DESIRE events have resulted in a complete transaction for both parties.
SCP-8192-A instances are selected by SCP-8192. Correlational analysis suggests the anomaly surveys English-speaking internet social media platforms when deciding on an SCP-8192-A instance. Below is an abridged list of DESIRE events, associated SCP-8192-A instances and related information:
Characters believed to correspond to SCP-8192-A instances are marked in bold.
Characters believed to correspond to SCP-8192 are underlined.
Date | Instance | Request | Title | Summary |
---|---|---|---|---|
2022-03-12 | Romulus Wyatt, SCP-8192-A-3 | Admission into Law School | Court Below The Canopy | A trial is held in a clearing. The forest dwellers, which are talking animals, assemble to judge an outsider for his transgressions. However, as he pleads innocence, a woodsman is called as an arbiter. Through a series of investigations, the woodsman convinces the forest dwellers of the outsider’s upstanding character and lack of ill-intent, resulting in a light sentence of banishment from the woods. |
2022-04-02 | Sarah Larson, SCP-8192-A-7 | A pet cat | Starveil Road | An ancient prophecy begins to unfold as a bridge spanning into the sky manifests at night. A young devout sets on a pilgrimage to reach its end, believed to be the residence of Kantos, powerful beings that uphold the world. Throughout her journey a spirit offers encouragement, resources and guidance. Upon reaching her destination, only one Kanto is found, which takes her in and offers her a new home. |
2022-06-22 | Gray Malus, SCP-8192-A-10 | Extension of Lifespan | Ravishing Ravage | A commander must lead soldiers under their command against an incoming flying horde of malefic beings. Increasingly drastic diplomatic and tactical decisions, along with rising pressure from the advancing enemy, lead to a final battle within a populated city. The horde is eliminated, but at the cost of a great death toll. |
2022-08-04 | Janice Apostle, SCP-8192-A-11 | Food to last the month | Dizzying Breadth | A tower of indiscernible and supposedly infinite height is discovered in previously uncharted waters. The vessel which found it capsized, and only three survivors made it to land. An old fisher believes this tower to be the pillar which holds up the sky, and climbing it would allow her power over the times and seasons. She voyages towards it, stopping at several islands with magical inhabitants. On her travels, she encounters each of the three survivors, which warn her she will not find what she seeks. She eventually reaches the tower, and climbs it for an uncertain amount of time. Upon getting to the top, she finds herself surrounded by a sea of gold, which she then realizes is the sky during the setting sun. To drink from it grants eternal health and vigor. |
2020-08-29 | Romulus Wyatt, SCP-8192-A-3 | Ten million US Dollars | Mine, oh Mine | A farmer falls down a remote well, only to find himself in the vast underground ruins of an old mining complex. In trying to find a way out, several aggressive elemental automatons are unleashed. To stop them from reaching the surface, the farmer ventures down into the center of the ruins and retrieves a large priceless gemstone, which is the energy source animating the machines. This, however, leads to the collapse of the structure, and the death of the farmer. |
2022-10-30 | Julian Clive, SCP-8192-A-13 | Victory in a local sports tournament | The Defender of the Meek | A salesman allegedly creates a potion capable of granting the power of strength to who drinks it. The concoction is foul, and none can bear to swallow it. A traveler, passing through the town, hears of this and manages to drink the whole vial. Pillagers later raid the village and raze it. The traveler, having already left the town, returns and helps to rebuild. Considering himself indebted to the late salesman, he decides to stay in the town and to become its champion. The book chronicles the many feats of strength and fitness he performs, the multiple challengers he faces and the numerous attacks he repels, as well as documenting his personal life. |
Contact: Concluding a string of several unsuccessful containment and mitigation attempts, a raid was conducted on a domicile suspected to be housing SCP-8192. It was found to be empty, save for a letter, the contents of which are annexed below.
Dear Men-In-Black.
We should talk things out.
I believe your escapades are as much a waste of time and patience to you as they are to me.
I'm simply trying to lead a normal life, while helping others feel good about theirs.
Meet me next Wednesday, 7 PM, at the Grill House on Pine Avenue, Great Rapids, Idaho.
Thanks,
Gervasius Clint
In response to this, MTF-λ5 shall be deployed in an operation to contain SCP-8192 at the given location and time.

Video Log
<The view is of the interior of a restaurant. The low angle suggests the camera rests on the floor. It is pointed at a table, where SCP-8192 sits alone.>
<The sound of the door opening can be heard, as Agent Stanton enters the establishment and sits at the table.>
SCP-8192: You're not very discrete, you know? I count five of your agents spread about this place.
STANTON: Good thing we have seven, then.
SCP-8192: Look, I get it. I'm a magical freak of nature. However, I don't do much. If you squint, I'm just an author. I write for a living. I let people immerse themselves in fantasy.
STANTON: You're not an author.
SCP-8192: Ok I admit, I focus on worldbuilding mostly, but what's so wrong with getting a little help with the characters?
STANTON: You don't write. Do you even credit the people you use?
SCP-8192: Hey! I don't "use" people. I give them what they ask for, and more. Now, what are you gonna eat?
STANTON: I’m not here to have a dinner date with you.
SCP-8192: Fair enough. You know, I thought we would get along. Don't get me wrong, you're a consistent pain in my ass. Regularly cracking down on wherever I'm staying, interfering with my publishing, hunting me down… Yet, you people clearly understand what's going on. I appreciate that… Appreciate you for that. There's not a lot of people I can talk to about my writing process. Most who know anything about it just keep asking me for more and more and more… So, please, hear me out. Work with me here.
STANTON: What do you want?
SCP-8192: I want a compromise. I want to keep on doing what I do, you want to maintain the natural order of the world or something. These things don't have to be in conflict. Maybe we can strike a deal. How about that?
STANTON: You're asking if I want to submit myself to you. To go into your little world, in order to maybe get something in return?
SCP-8192: I am a man of my word. Your wish will be my command.
STANTON: My only wish is that I didn't have to deal with your smug ass right now.
<Agent Stanton motions indicating for the other agents to move in. They surround the table, immobilize SCP-8192 and attempt to sedate it.>
SCP-8192: <Muffled> Very well, but remember the offer.
STANTON: Wait! Shit!
<SCP-8192 demanifests, having completed a DESIRE event with Agent Stanton. Customers do not seem to have noticed the commotion.>
Revision of Containment Procedures: Following deliberation, staff decided to review and update SCP-8192's containment procedures.
The new version allows for continuous collaboration between the anomaly and the Foundation. The entity will anomalously fulfill Foundation requests, establishing DESIRE events with selected MTF-λ5 agents. In turn, SCP-8192 is to be kept in an open-containment regime. It will be allowed to continue to engage with SCP-8192-A instances in DESIRE events, granted said engagements follow specific Foundation-established criteria. Failure to comply will result in termination of these terms, and return to previous containment procedures. A written agreement describing the conditions in full was signed by both parties.

2023-01-05 | Expansion of Site-72's Containment Wing | FULFILLED | Architectural and engineering guidance were provided. |
Agent's Note | Agent Walsh drew the short straw, but I volunteered. I couldn't have my team risking themselves over something like this. Plus, I had already been in a DESIRE event at the steakhouse. I made sure at least one gun was pointed at SCP-8192 at all times during the procedure. It wasn't as bad as I expected, though. It was different this time. A dumb little adventure through temples in the sky. I got to fly. It felt amazing. -Stanton | ||
2023-03-28 | Supplementary funding for the second quarter of 2023 | FULFILLED | Request was deemed necessary due decommissioning of outdated anomalous funding sources. |
Agent's Note | No one had the balls to face it. Guess I'm stuck with this role now. This second time was a continuation of the previous story. A sequel. I allied with winged beasts and fairies, fighting off fiends and other monsters. Found bountiful treasure. -Stanton | ||
2023-06-02 | Training of Foundation assets in anomalous machinery operation | SUSPENDED | See report. |
Agent's Note | - | ||
2023-07-09 | Acquisition of private information regarding anomalies held by a Group of Interest | FULFILLED | Tutoring on effective use of ontokinetic capabilities in espionage and remote sensing was required. |
Agent's Note | This man, Clint. I owed him one. Figured I'd get him to help the MTF a bit. Despite starting off as a magic hack, he's learned how to write over the years. It's all fake in his little world, yes. He could do horrors beyond our conceivability in there. But I've seen beyond that. -Stanton | ||
2023-09-11 | Deployment with MTF-λ5 on mission to contain an anomalous entity | FULFILLED | Zero casualties or injuries and minimized expenditures. |
Agent's Note | No regrets. -Stanton |
2023-06-02 DESIRE Event: The following transcript details the narrative insertion from Agent Stanton's perspective.
Video Log
<Agent Stanton's body camera is switched on. Before them is SCP-8192. Both are in a meeting room.>
SCP-8192: So, you'll need the camera going in, right?
STANTON: And the flashlight.
SCP-8192: Gotcha. I'm ready.
STANTON: Ahem. "I wish that members of Foundation staff, Researchers Andrew Stevens and Joyce Grace of Site-72, learned how to correctly and efficiently operate Foundation Anomalous Technological Device #144."
<There is an abrupt transition to rolling fields in direct sunlight. A gentle breeze can be seen as the grass is blown.>
STANTON: Ah, it's coming back to me…
SCP-8192: Your role is the same as always: you are Anfar, a guard on a quest to find the Immeasurable Peace, an object-
STANTON: Or entity.
SCP-8192: Right. Object or entity that will mend this broken world. Currently, you are crossing the countryside, going West, in search for a large gaping split in the earth. If you remember, you were informed by the Sky King's advisor of this hole. Its manifestation is a sign of a new world to come.
STANTON: Yeah.
SCP-8192: I guess I'll leave you to it, then.
<SCP-8192 demanifests, and Agent Stanton begins heading West. They walk for approximately an hour. The Sun has risen and is now at zenith. They slow down their pace. After a few minutes of light walking, they sit, and then lie down on a hill.>
STANTON: A place to lay down one's head… A bed would be better, but one makes do with what they find along the way.
<The camera remains pointing towards the sky for several minutes. The sound of wind dies out during this period. Agent Stanton does not appear to react to this.>
<They sit up, check their compass and continue their trek for several more minutes. Analysis of the audio in the recording indicates that, at this moment, noise beyond the range of human hearing was being picked up.>
<Upon cresting a hill, Agent Stanton sees a single small tree from afar. No other vegetation save for grass can be seen.>
STANTON: Now what the… You'd expect plants to multiply over time. To grow fruit. To spread seeds.
<Agent Stanton hikes towards it. They arrive, and see that the tree is alive, having plentiful leaves. They walk around it, crouch and inspect it. They lightly kick the tree, which shifts it slightly, revealing that it has very shallow roots.>
TREE: Ahem.
<Agent Stanton looks around, but does not find the source of the voice. They turn back to the tree.>
STANTON: Was that you?
TREE: Yes. And that was very rude of you.
STANTON: Oh. I'm sorry. Do you want me to put you back?
TREE: No! Don't touch me!
STANTON: Alright! I won't. Say… Who are you?
TREE: Why, I'm the Tree of the Earth! Famous landmark! Unique and notorious!
STANTON: I can see that. Yet the things that set you apart seem to me to be… Wait… Is that you?
TREE: Is what me?
STANTON: Listen.
<The previous noise is now audible. Indistinct whispering can be heard.>
TREE: That is definitely not me.
<The sound increases in intensity gradually. No discernible origin is visible.>
TREE: Ugh… Cold…
<Stanton scans the landscape, with their back against the tree. Movement can be seen on the horizon. The shape of a large avian head can be made out, as it slowly emerges from behind a hill.>
STANTON: Oi! You!
<As it continues to rise, its spread wings slowly become visible from behind the horizon. They are angled slightly downwards, so that more of them are revealed as the bird-like entity continues to rise.>
STANTON: I'll be damned…
<Soon, it can be seen that the wings span from one side of the visible sky to the other. The sound has now reached the volume of a scream. The entity flies overhead, covering the sky before rapidly reaching the opposite side of the horizon. The noise abruptly stops. Agent Stanton turns on their flashlight, but other than their arm, the camera only captures darkness.>
SCP-8192: Stanton!
<The camera turns until SCP-8192 can be seen standing in the black void.>
STANTON: 8192! Why are you here?
SCP-8192: This isn't right! I didn't make this!
STANTON: Okay. Calm down. Can you get us out of here?
SCP-8192: I don't know! It… I never had to force it to end! It usually just-
BIRD: Who is Anfar?
<Both SCP-8192 and Agent Stanton turn. A skeletal beak with glowing eye sockets can be seen.>
SCP-8192: Who are you?
BIRD: I will be Anfar. I am the owner of this story now.
STANTON: Wait, I know you. You don't have a number yet, but I've heard of you before.
BIRD: I do not know you. Are you Anfar?
STANTON: You're a meme. A narrative-memetic anomaly that replaces narratives and characters. Makes people incapable of conceptualizing them in any form other than a black bird.
BIRD: You know too much. Anfar would not know this. You are my enemy now. You will die.
<The anomaly lurches directly towards the camera. Feathers can be made out throughout the darkness. Talons press against Agent Stanton's chest, knocking them over.>
SCP-8192: Wait!
<The entity turns to face SCP-8192 while still holding down Agent Stanton.>
SCP-8192: You want a story, is that it? I can give you a story. I can give you many stories.
BIRD: I want all stories.
SCP-8192: Well, I won't give you all stories, but I can-
BIRD: I am not interested. You are distracting me. I will resume killing this person now.
SCP-8192: No!
<A flash of light strikes the entity, coming from SCP-8192's direction.>
BIRD: You are hurting me.
SCP-8192: This is my story. You want Anfar? I wrote Anfar. I made Anfar. They are in me, they are a part of me, they are me. It's me who you want.
BIRD: I will be you.
<Sounds of fluttering can be heard as the avian lunges at SCP-8192. Visibility is poor, as the the darkness shifts and intermittently obscures the two anomalies. Blasts and fluttering can be heard as they fight.>
<Agent Stanton struggles up, retrieves their spear, and moves slowly in the direction of the conflict. SCP-8192 is heard screaming. For a brief moment it can be seen knocked over. Agent Stanton rushes toward it and thrusts at the space above SCP-8192.>
BIRD: You missed.
<A talon grabs Agent Stanton, piercing their torso and abdomen.>
BIRD: You are here. Here is mine. Here I have power. You will be me now.
<The beak can be seen opening, moving in to devour Agent Stanton. It is vaporized by a large beam coming from below, where SCP-8192 lay. A screech exceeds the volume range of the camera's microphone, causing it to start clipping. The darkness progressively grows brighter until there is only intense white.>
<The camera feed once again shows the meeting room, with both SCP-8192 and Agent Stanton standing where they were.>
SCP-8192: Holy fuck.
Decrease in External DESIRE Events: It has been noted that SCP-8192 has progressively sought out less SCP-8192-A instances outside the Foundation, despite being granted permission to engage. When questioned, the anomaly reported diminished interest in granting external requests.

Audio Log
SCP-8192: I guess I should start by explaining myself.
STANTON: No. We're-
SCP-8192: I couldn't do it. I couldn't! I don’t kill people! I didn't! I… Fuck! I'm a fucking happy little magic man! I'm not supposed to murder! I-
STANTON: This guy had a signature. Thaumaturgic, distance-independent. It's gone now. We're not here to discuss what happened in baseline reality, though. What we are here to discuss is what happened next. Nobody knows where he is. What happened in fantasy land?
SCP-8192: It was the same as always… Place him in some corner with something going on, something to do. Let things play out to a close. That's what I thought would happen…
SCP-8192: I had him be this knight preparing to go up against a dragon. We get to the portion of the story where he went into the underworld. I had him pass through some trials, some temptation stuff I knew he could get through. But then…
SCP-8192: Then he just, stayed there. Got distracted. Lost all motivation to keep going. Had his ideals and goals and character and drives all supplanted by sex with hell demons. Cumming his brains out.
SCP-8192: I pleaded with him. I didn't know what would happen. I… pulled the plug on the story. Next thing I know I'm back where I was, but he wasn’t there. You won't be seeing him again.
STANTON: Well, that clears things up. You made the right call, buddy. You did good.
SCP-8192: Did I, really? I promised myself I wouldn't violate anyone with my powers. I said I would never promote my own interests or force my vision onto the world. But now look at me. What am I doing, Stanton? What else will I have to do until the Foundation is satisfied? It's exactly the same thing with the people outside! It's never enough. They always want more.
STANTON: Get some rest.
Disappearance: Since 2024-01-20, SCP-8192 has been Absent Without Leave, unresponsive to all means of communication employed. Monitoring of locations known to be frequently visited by SCP-8192 has not resulted in any sightings.
In light of SCP-8192's infringement of terms, containment procedures for the anomaly have been reverted to pre-agreement status. It has not been notified of this, in the hopes of facilitating an ambush.
Searches had proven unfruitful following disappearance, until communication was established with previous SCP-8192-A instances. An instant messaging conversation between SCP-8192 and SCP-8192-A-2, Richard Homes, was discovered. SCP-8192-A-2 was found to be a close friend of SCP-8192, one of the first individuals to be involved in a DESIRE event, and someone SCP-8192 had spoken to frequently before the anomaly's collaboration with the Foundation.
Through monitoring of the activity of the account in question, the location of access was ascertained. Surveillance of the establishment, a web cafe, indicated repeated and frequent visits by SCP-8192.
SCP-8192-A-2 was detained and processed. However, Agent Harrier Stanton insisted upon their release. SCP-8192-A-2 has been subsequently returned to their previous living conditions, with their reintegration being assisted by Agent Stanton.
Sting Operation:
Video Log
<The bodycam is switched on. Three MTF-λ5 Field Agents (Fields, Uster and Walsh) can be seen in an alleyway. Agent Stanton is recording. All are wearing gas masks.>
FIELDS: The subject is within the location. It was sighted entering approximately thirty minutes ago. Footage indicates it is distracted and facing away from the entrance. The plan is to corner it in, knock it out and take it back. We're not dealing with the usual Child God. This one is weaker, it plays by some rules. So remember, say nothing that could be construed as a request. Got all that?
WALSH: Aye.
USTER: Loud and clear, sir.
STANTON: Affirmative.
FIELDS: I don't care what it was to us previously. It's just another anomaly now, and one that we know can wipe people off the out. Now, go!
<The agents exit the alleyway and head towards the entrance of the establishment. Agents Uster and Walsh stand on either end of the door, while Fields and Stanton stand in front of it. SCP-8192 is facing away from the glass door.>
<Agent Fields readies a Rapid Anesthetic Grenade and throws it into the cybercafe. It hits the back wall, being seen by SCP-8192, who quickly turns around.>
SCP-8192: You fuckers!
<SCP-8192 dashes towards a backdoor, swinging it open and exiting the room as the grenade goes off.>
FIELDS: Pursue!
<The four agents enter, crossing the smoke and reaching the door. It leads to an external emergency staircase. SCP-8192 can briefly be seen at the top of the first flight before continuing to climb.>
SCP-8192: Grasping fiends!
USTER: SCP-8192, you're coming with us!
SCP-8192: Wait, Uster? Is that you?
USTER: You will stop and stand down!
SCP-8192: I will not!
<SCP-8192 reaches the end of the stairs and walks onto the roof of the building.>
WALSH: You can't run, boy!
SCP-8192: "Boy"? What am I to you? A dog?
FIELDS: I'm sorry, 8192, I really am, but you have no other option here.
<SCP-8192 can be seen breathing heavily, glancing rapidly at each of the agents.>
<SCP-8192 shouts and lunges at Agent Walsh. Uster and Fields raise their guns.>
STANTON: Stop! Don't-
<SCP-8192 glances at Agent Stanton, visibly smirking. The camera cuts to darkness.>
<Sounds of water and heavy breathing can be heard. A flashlight is turned on, revealing a large tunnel partially filled with water.>
SCP-8192: Harry.
<Agent Stanton turns and sees SCP-8192 standing on a small row-boat.>
STANTON: What were you thinking?! Why did you run?!
SCP-8192: It's okay. We're here now. I'm fine. We're safe.
<Agent Staton hesitates, and then sighs.>
STANTON: Alright. Fine. What's my role in the story this time?
SCP-8192: Just come with me.
<SCP-8192 helps Agent Stanton onto the boat. The anomaly pushes the boat along the tunnel with the aid of a long pole.>
SCP-8192: Tell me, what do you wish for?
STANTON: I'm not here to make a bargain, Clint.
SCP-8192: I meant it genuinely, as a question.
STANTON: I want out of here.
SCP-8192: In a moment. I want to go somewhere first.
<Both continue in silence for several more minutes. Eventually a recess in the wall can be seen, and in it is a stone-carved spiral staircase. SCP-8192 exits the boat, helps Agent Stanton off, and begins to ascend. Around two-hundred steps are climbed before either of them speaks.>
STANTON: Where…
SCP-8192: Hmm?
STANTON: Never mind.
SCP-8192: Go on, shoot. We have all the time in the world.
STANTON: Where… is this in fantasy land? The other times I was here, things seemed… Warmer.
SCP-8192: Oh, this is somewhere special. It's the prototype. My very first daydreams of an experience, cobbled together. Assembled into a world.
STANTON: …But lacking characters.
SCP-8192: Until now.
<They continue the climb until the staircase straightens, ending in a trapdoor. SCP-8192 unlocks and opens it, revealing a large library. Dark wooden bookcases stretch up to the ceiling and divide the room into aisles jutting out from a central corridor. There is a small coffee table with two chairs in the center or the room. SCP-8192 sits and motions for Agent Stanton to do the same.>
SCP-8192: What is the Foundation's goal, Harry?
STANTON: To secure, to contain and to protect.
SCP-8192: I mean really, what is it trying to achieve?
STANTON: Normalcy.
SCP-8192: Hmm. A lofty goal. A good one, as far as goals go… Goals, goals, goals. Goals upon goals. The ones you reach, you grow weary of. The ones that promise more are always just that: distant enough so that you can pretend you wouldn't get sick of them as well. I wonder, would reaching… no, conquering heaven itself even be enough?
<SCP-8192 sits still for several moments. The anomaly then abruptly stands, and walks towards a large pile of books, thrown one on top of the other. It climbs the pile, the peak of which is next to a window. SCP-8192 opens it and climbs through. Agent Stanton follows.>
<Outside, it can be seen that the library was built into a mountainside, and the roof which they stand on overlooks a fjord. Windmills, spinning rapidly, can be seen lining the mountaintops. Agent Stanton shouts to be heard.>
STANTON: You can come back with me. We can negotiate. You're valuable. You won't have to off anyone.
SCP-8192: I'd rather not. I'm valued elsewhere, too. Somewhere I'm harmless.
STANTON: You can see your friends again. You can see Richard again.
SCP-8192: Why would I want to see him?
STANTON: You don't have a lot of friends, he told me.
SCP-8192: "He told me", huh? Well I have someone where I'm going.
STANTON: But what about helping people?
<SCP-8192 turns to face Agent Stanton.>
SCP-8192: I tried helping people. It didn't work.
STANTON: Bullshit! You know that's not true, we need your help. I need you on the team!
<SCP-8192 turns away and resumes walking.>
SCP-8192: Reality benders, including ones with less restrictive powers, are a dime a dozen. They can find someone else.
STANTON: Don't make me take you by force.
SCP-8192: That's not happening.
<They walk to the edge of the roof, onto the mountain proper. Upon arriving at a cliff, SCP-8192 stretches its arms outwards and takes a step forward. Agent Stanton reaches out, attempting to grab SCP-8192, but stops once they realize SCP-8192 is stepping on air.>
<SCP-8192 takes Agent Stanton's hand and helps them up onto the air as well. They walk towards the ocean, far above sea level. The camera frequently points down, showing agitated, choppy waters below.>
STANTON: You could have maybe found a way around your limitations. Some wisher willing to cooperate, asking for powers like yours.
SCP-8192: Aren't you supposed to oppose escalating reality bending?
STANTON: Curiosity got the better of me.
SCP-8192: It's irresponsible. I'm not a lunatic.
<They continue to walk for an uncertain amount of time. The camera points backwards, revealing that the fjord is no longer in sight. Once it points back, SCP-8192 can be seen opening a door that hangs in mid-air. It holds the door open and Agent Stanton enters.>
<On the other side, several stone flights of stairs, platforms, pillars and ceilings can be seen. They are arranged continuously, however as a labyrinth. SCP-8192 leads the way.>
STANTON: Be honest, why didn't you?
SCP-8192: I… was never a happy man. I guess… I'm afraid of finding joy, only to lose it. Not even the wishers stayed content.
STANTON: I'm content.
SCP-8192: Are you?
STANTON: Yeah!
SCP-8192: Yet you still struggle and strive. You still suffer, seeking something. In this case, for me to return.
STANTON: That's just how it is! You go from goal to goal, living in between achievements. One thing leads to another until you're dead, and that's life!
SCP-8192: I don't agree with that.
STANTON: Then I'm not sure you'll ever find peace.
<As they make their way through the maze, less and less structures can be seen, until there is only one long platform on which they walk. It fades into a large glowing sphere. Light and wind, emanating from the star-like object buffet both of them.>
STANTON: Is this it?
SCP-8192: This is it.
<They stand in silence for a few seconds.>
STANTON: What am I looking at?
SCP-8192: Immortality, spent in a state of euphoric mania, forever. Would you like to join?
STANTON: Wait… This is your grand solution? Your great answer to the burden of ambition?
SCP-8192: Yes.
STANTON: An infinite high?
SCP-8192: Indeed.
<The camera points downwards for a few seconds, before pointing up again.>
STANTON: What about the real world?
SCP-8192: What about it?
STANTON: You're just gonna leave it all behind?
SCP-8192: Yes! Why care about that anymore? Out there I'm a freak better off locked up in a box. Here? I'm free.
<The camera turns around as Agent Stanton paces on the platform. They return and face SCP-8192.>
STANTON: I expected more of you, Clint.
SCP-8192: That's the point! You always want more. Well not after this. Never again!
STANTON: You can't be… No. There's more to life…
SCP-8192: You know, I could have done this sooner, but I wanted you to find me. I was hoping you would come. I wanted to give you the chance to come with me. Once I go in, I can't bring you inside, so you only have this one chance.
STANTON: No, Clint. Unless you turn back now, we won't be able to bring you out. This is your last chance. Come back with me. Please. Come live a real life.
SCP-8192: My mind is already made, Harry.
<Neither says a word. The orb pulses.>
SCP-8192: This is our farewell.
<The camera is covered as the two approach each other and hug. Visual is restored after a few seconds. Agent Stanton is back to baseline reality. A book can be seen where SCP-8192 previously stood.>
SCP-8192-2: SCP-8192-2 is the designation given to the book found after SCP-8192 entered its narrative permanently. The object has no markings on its cover. In its pages, there is only a continuous transcription of laughter, moaning and screaming. SCP-8192-2 is anomalous, in that it contains an infinite number of pages.
