SCP-4007-JP

Item #: SCP-4007-JP

Containment Class: Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4007-JP is to be contained at Site-81██ as an E-class staff member. He is permitted to act independently, although access to information regarding other Foundation Sites is prohibited.

Description: SCP-4007-JP is a Japanese human male, born in 20██. SCP-4007-JP is capable of experiencing dreams about specific, existing locations by strongly visualizing them before going to sleep. Although SCP-4007-JP cannot remember the details of these dreams clearly, he claims they are extremely vivid and that he enjoys being able to act freely as an explorer.

Urine excreted by SCP-4007-JP while experiencing the aforementioned dreams exhibits autonomous behavior independent of the surrounding environment and ultimately forms a map of the location he witnessed in his dream. This map contains supplementary information perceived by SCP-4007-JP within the dream, written in Japanese; multiple experiments have confirmed that these details perfectly match the actual conditions of the target location.

Addendum 4007-JP-A: Protocol Explorator has been established for preliminary research into unexplored areas or structures utilizing the anomalous properties of SCP-4007-JP. During the protocol's execution, SCP-4007-JP is provided with information regarding the target location, then consumes a large quantity of drinking water and diuretics before going to sleep. Once urinary output is confirmed, phenolphthalein solution is sprayed onto the bedding to turn the urine red. The resulting map is cross-referenced with previously known information, and adopted as an official map upon confirmation of a match.

Within one year of its operational launch, Protocol Explorator has made exceptional contributions to the investigation and suppression of ten groups-of-interest bases and three locations-of-interest. Research is currently underway to create two-dimensional maps of areas not constrained by linear space.

Addendum 4007-JP-B: In 2026, while executing the protocol aimed at raiding a base of the Iron Rust Fruit Cult, SCP-4007-JP reported severe pain in the lower abdomen. This was diagnosed as a urinary tract stone, which was expelled three hours later.

However, its unusually elongated shape compared to typical urinary stones was noted by the assigned personnel, and it was found to match the layout of the base scheduled for the raid, including its underground sections. Subsequent investigations confirmed that not only the shape but also the internal layout, along with mechanisms such as door openings and closings, matched. This urinary stone was determined to be more accurate than a map drawn with urine and was judged to be perfectly identical to the target building, except for the scale.

In light of this incident, a proposal was drafted to artificially induce the formation of SCP-4007-JP's urinary stones when high-precision mapping is required. The Ethics Committee is currently reviewing the appropriateness of this approach.
