Pondok Indah Mall, Provisional Site-90.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-017-ID is to be contained and monitored at its location of discovery. The property containing SCP-017-ID has been purchased by the Foundation and converted into Provisional Site-90, which will remain open to the public during daytime hours.
Foundation personnel are stationed within Provisional Site-90 as mall operational staff to prevent unauthorized entry at night. Provisional Site-90 must close at 21:00 local time, providing site personnel sufficient time to clear the mall of visitors and unauthorized individuals.
Description: SCP-017-ID is a night market located on the LG (Lower Ground) floor of Pondok Indah Mall, South Jakarta. A wooden banner inscribed with Javanese script hangs at the entrance of the night market, reading, "Happy Shopping, Traveler."
The night market is spread across the fronts of existing kiosks on the LG floor, operated by humanoid entities standing 60 to 100 cm tall with pale skin, designated as SCP-017-ID-1. The number of SCP-017-ID kiosks varies, but never exceeds 10 on any given night.1 Instances of SCP-017-ID-1 are observed tending to their night market stalls and displaying the goods offered for sale.
The items sold by SCP-017-ID-1 vary in nature, ranging from mystical objects, services from the "other side," offerings (sesajen), and various utility tools sold as "otherworld necessities." Several items or products sold within SCP-017-ID exhibit Thaumaturgical properties alongside other unknown anomalous elements.
SCP-017-ID-1 instances begin appearing at 23:00 local time, carrying their goods and equipment to set up shop in front of existing kiosks, and depart their stalls at 05:00 local time. The mechanism by which they enter or exit the locked mall remains unknown. CCTV footage shows no activity regarding either SCP-017-ID or SCP-017-ID-1.
Discovery: SCP-017-ID was discovered by a member of the Nusantara Thaumaturgical Association (Asosiasi Taumaturgi Nusantara, ATN)2 following a call regarding sightings of "Tuyul" within the mall. Recognizing that an attempted "purification" would prove counterproductive, the ATN delegation reported the existence of SCP-017-ID to the Foundation. The mall was subsequently acquired by the Foundation through a front company and converted into Provisional Site-90.

[BEGIN LOG]
SCP-017-ID-1: Ah, welcome! Please, step right up, we offer quality goods from all across town!
Dr. Mima: Thank you, but we are not here to shop today.
SCP-017-ID-1: Ah, is that right? So, Sir and Ma'am here are looking to ask us a few questions?
Tanoto: That's right. There are a few things we'd like to ask, if you don't mind, seeing as you're currently running your stalls.
SCP-017-ID-1: Ahh, it's no big deal. Please, go ahead, whatcha wanna ask?
Tanoto: Well, to start off, how long have you been selling like this?
SCP-017-ID-1: Eh, quite a while now, about 3 years or so.
Tanoto: So everyone else here has been selling for quite a while too?
SCP-017-ID-1: That's right, Sir. We've been selling at these stalls of ours for quite a while now. Some sell various goods, and some sell food. Food stalls are rare, but there are usually 1 or 2 of them around here.
Tanoto: And who usually buys from you around here?
SCP-017-ID-1: All of us, the "Visitors," and sometimes people from outside, Sir.
Tanoto: From the outside?
SCP-017-ID-1: Oh, yes, Sir. People dressed in black usually buy or order from us. It's quite rare, but sometimes we get orders from them, and then we send the goods over to them.
Tanoto: Ah, I see. But if you don't mind me asking, why run a market? Especially here?
SCP-017-ID-1: Oh boy, Sir. How should I put this… We aren't really useful anymore, Sir. Back in the 2000s and earlier, our masters used to summon us, give us jobs to do you-know-what, and we'd get paid well by them. But times have completely changed. We can't work like that anymore because nowadays, people use that thing called Opo or that Ojek-ojek whatever on their phones.3 We don't even know how to steal from those. So yeah, like it or not, we have to sell things, Sir, just to earn a living. We see that the people shopping here all use their phones too, Sir. So no more paper bills, which is why we're all selling things now, Sir. We chose this location because it gets a decent amount of foot traffic, seeing as it's a shopping mall after all.
Tanoto: Hmm, alright. But I have a question. Things like these, you can make them yourselves, right? But where do you get the food?
SCP-017-ID-1: Oh, there are suppliers for that, Sir. They bring the food here to sell to us, and then we resell it. Especially on important days, Sir, plenty of supplies come in to be sold.
Tanoto: But in that case, what currency do you use for the transaction?
SCP-017-ID-1: Betel leaves, Sir. The supplier decides what we use for transactions, so we just follow the higher-ups.
Tanoto: Very well, that might be all for tonight. What about you, Dr. Mima?
Dr. Mima: That will be all for today. We have gathered what we needed.
Tanoto: Alright, thank you for your cooperation, Sir…
SCP-017-ID-1: Agus, that's what people around here call me.
Tanoto: Okay, Mr. Agus, thank you for tonight. Best of luck with your business.
SCP-017-ID-1: Are you sure you don't want to buy anything? You're the first ones to actually come to our place, you know.
Tanoto: First?
SCP-017-ID-1: Yeah, because before this, some people saw us selling stuff here and just ran away. No idea why. So technically, you guys are the first ones here.
Tanoto: Is that right? Thank you for the offer, Mr. Agus, but we have work to get back to.
SCP-017-ID-1: Alright then, just come by if you ever need anything, Sir.
Tanoto: Much appreciated, Agus.
SCP-017-ID-1: Anytime.

Note: Based on the interview log, SCP-017-ID exhibits no dangerous tendencies toward its surrounding environment. Purification attempts are not recommended, as this will only cause SCP-017-ID to relocate elsewhere to conduct sales. Consequently, instances of SCP-017-ID-1 are strictly permitted to operate only within the premises of this mall. The "Visitors" and other "Clients" mentioned by SCP-017-ID-1 remain under investigation. Pending further notice, all experimental procedures involving SCP-017-ID have been temporarily suspended.
