Editorial
During the month of July 2024, the English SCP Wiki officially hit 20,000 articles! Congratulations to all the authors' hard work that helped us achieve this meaningful milestone!

A new International Wiki has been recognized! Well, sort of. The Hungarian branch, or HU for short, has been recognized as an upcoming project with trustworthy staff and a growing userbase. You can visit it here! We wish the up and coming Hungarian Wiki the best of luck and steady growth.
- By Uncle Nicolini
The Vietnamese Branch is hosting FeralFest, a contest based around writing about animals and other wildlife! Posting deadline is August 4th and voting goes on until August 11th. Check out the details here! We look forward to seeing translations of the contest entries; be it here or on INT!
- By Uncle Nicolini
The ZH-TR Branch is hosting a Mythological Elements contest! In Chinese folklore, the word "elements" refers to the magical elements such as fire, water, metal, wood, air, etc. It was originally going to be an Elemental Periodic Table, but the contest runners decided against that in the end. Either way, the writing period was between July 15th and ended on August 21st, but voting ends on the 31st of August! We look forward to seeing translations, be it on EN or on INT!
- By Uncle Nicolini
And last, but finally not least, the ES Wiki is hosting a GoI contest, seeking to develop the smaller GoIs of the wiki and reimagining the older ones. The posting period begins on the 13th of August and ends on the 18th, and voting ends on the 31st of August. And as always, we look forward to seeing translations on EN and INT!

Writing and Art Prompts
Site News is bringing you monthly writing and art prompts! Every month there will be user-submitted prompts to help inspire new pieces. Participation in these prompts is completely optional, and any pages based on the prompts will be featured in the next issue of Site News! If you're interested in submitting a prompt for next Site News, send a wikidot PM to ParallelPotatoes. One prompt submission per person, and up to five prompts will be shown in each edition of Site News.
This month's prompts are below!
Summer Heat Submitted by FlyPurgatorio
It's really hot out! Write something about heat, temperature, or the eternal fires of the pits of hell.
Leo Season Submitted by Queerious
It's Leo season! To celebrate our lion friends, write about horoscopes or a vain character!
The following article was inspired by a prompt and written this month!
Everything Reminds Me of Him Written by AwhRyan
Inspired by "173's Birthday" from June 2024's prompts!
If you write an entry inspired by this or a previous month's prompts, feel free to send a wikidot PM to ParallelPotatoes to have it featured in the next Site News! There isn't a time limit on getting prompt submissions featured, so feel free to write for a previous month's prompts as well!1

Wrathcon: Saturday, August 10, 2024 1:30 PM EST
Corax, Psi, Fly and Guaire will be giving into evil: it's the official Wrathcon remembrance service! We'll be reading, awarding well-deserved badges, and trying to remember what the fallen entries were about. Want to give some thoughts on the entries that were grimly torn down? What do you (evilly/falsly) remember? Contact one of the organizers: FlyPurgatorio or
Prismal on the official Discord, or wikidot DM FlyPurgatorio or Guaire‘. Alternatively, use this google form!

Each month, community members are encouraged to nominate forum reviewers who have been both particularly helpful and active.
