Not exactly a frozen fox, but it’s close enough, right?
Hi, I’m frozenFoxB, a recovering graduate student originally from the US Gulf Coast region. I joined the wiki in the summer of 2025 after reading off and on for over a decade. I’ve got a strong interest in marine biology and oceanography, which would explain why a lot of what I’ve written here so far has been about the ocean in some capacity. But I’ve started branching out from that a little, so who knows what I’ll come up with next!
I’ve got a bit of social anxiety that’s kept me from interacting with the community maybe as much as I’d like, but I’m working on it,1 and I’ve enjoyed my time here overall so far. Anyway, here’s what I’ve written:2
SCP’s
SCP-L300 — Mermaid’s Kin.
“Discovered in 1987 aboard fishing vessel ‘Proud Mary,’ found adrift in the Bering Sea approximately 60 nautical miles north of St. Paul Island, Alaska. No survivors found among the crew — likely devoured.”
- Made some aquatic, body-horror murder monsters for the Series 0 canon.
- First oceanic article I’ve written in a while, actually.
- If you squint and look at it the right way, you might see it’s actually very, very loosely inspired, at least in part, by SCP-939.
SCP-L998 — Paperwraith.
“Presently, the most commonly observed limitations to SCP-L998’s utility as an asset are its slow speed of travel and its particular susceptibility to strong winds.”
- An article about a little paper guy who is also an extremely accomplished and deadly assassin.
- My first contribution to the Series 0 canon.
- Partially borne out of a desire to help flesh out the canon’s wild-ass Greengrocer Racket lore.
- Also, would you look at that, I was able to get the second-highest Lost Series slot for this one!
SCP-L016 — “Bat Man” from Houston, Texas
“The last thing Edison heard before the call cut off was Dempsey’s exclamation that ‘some winged thing’ had suddenly appeared and was flying in his direction.”
- My first submission to the Lost Series.
- I’d been wanting to write a freaky-ass murder monster for quite a while — with this article, I guess that dream has finally been achieved.
- Based on an actual obscure Houston urban legend, though I tried turning it into something much weirder.
- Makes substantial use of redactions to fit the “Lost” theme. Your mileage is admittedly likely to vary with this one, depending on how you feel about these kinds of early series tropes.
SCP-9246 — SAMURAI EEL SUIJUTSU SHOWDOWN
“I thought there was some elaborate ritual you had to perform every year. Are you really telling me that what you’re actually doing is playing water sports with a bunch of eel people?”
- Contest entry for SportsCon 2026.
- Chosen sport was Suijutsu (水術), an aquatic martial art derived from samurai swimming techniques.
- My attempt at doing outright absurdism.
- Indirectly involves the Drunkness Street (酩酊街) GoI from the JP Branch.
SCP-9810 — Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes
“I mean, imagine if some innocent family got caught up in our confrontation. Found some really nasty toxic fungus suddenly growing under their skin or behind their eyeballs. That’d be terrible, wouldn’t it?”
- Contest entry for ‘This Is My JamCon’ 2026, where my song prompt was Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) by Edison Lighthouse.
- A story about two Foundation agents pursuing an anomalous PoI named Rosemary across the Florida Panhandle.
- Set in The Gulf canon, written as sort of a tribute to the setting.
SCP-9664 — “lots-in-1 shave cream”
“Sawyer gradually began using SCP-9664-A exclusively in place of other hygiene products, insisting that SCP-9664-A was much more ‘efficient’ than any alternatives.”
- Currently my shortest work on the wiki — only about 600 words.
- Ostensibly about hygiene and “efficiency,” particularly as interpreted3 by the Factory.
- Inspired by a deeply unpleasant dream.
SCP-9075 — Toxic Proteus
“As you can see, the olms are out and about tonight. They’ve been more active than usual. Hell, it’s almost like there’s a party going on.”
- ArtEx 2025 gift for
battlecruiser12.
- Eco-horror about everyone’s favorite neotenous aquatic salamander that isn’t the axolotl!
- One of my longest works on the wiki so far at over 11.3K words, but also the work I’m probably most proud of.
SCP-9301 — Worm Odyssey
“Until the day comes that my friend touches the soil of his homeland once more, I will not permit him to die.”
- A follow-up to SCP-9989 (see below).
- It has a worm in it.
- Also the worm can talk and is probably one of my favorite characters I’ve created for the wiki so far.
- Both this and SCP-9989 below were written as part of the AIAD canon.
SCP-9989 — Salp Chain!
“Why the hell does a salp in the middle of the Pacific Ocean have an identical face to an American chemist who’s been dead for half a century?”
- Contest entry for 9kcon.
- Very much inspired by the works of Junji Ito.
- Currently my most successful work, which is cool, because it was very fun to write.

SCP-8398 — Lonely Cancerian Siren
“I wished to be able to join her beneath the waves. So my love, she imbued me with the sea, so that we could always be together.”
- Contest entry for ClassicCon 2025. Also my very first submission to the wiki. Also a coldpost. 😬5
- May contain sea monster romance.
- It’s definitely not perfect, but personally I actually like it quite a lot.
