Update 8/11/19 Completed 1st draft of the Rewrite, Getting feedback.
Update 6/18/19: Rewrite started.
Update 1/23/19: So after receiving a lot of feedback, I feel like this SCP can be made better. However, extensive edits are against contest rules, and I do not want to risk altering something that could be seen as fundamental. Therefore, I'll return to making this better after the contest ends, as to not violate the rules.
Cliche: #4: A doorway of any shape to a different dimension/timeline/world
Story Element Cliches: #3 (GoI/PoI here) gets one over the Foundation, making them look like fools in the process.
Thank you to all the kind people on #site19 and #thecritters that gave me encouragement and feedback :)

The Picture was taken by Krisztian Birinyi Here.
If you think about it, there's been snippets here and there that suggest people like the O5 council live for a fantastically long amount of time thanks to anomalous means of life extension.
Some of these people have been around since the days when there have been virtually no research done on many anomalies or when there were no Scranton reality anchors to protect them from the wrath of seemingly unstoppable reality benders. It is understandable why they would be so careful and reluctant to utilize a lot of these anomalous items.
On the other hand, the newer generation has access to all the data and research accumulated over the years, and they have a blank slate, a fresh point of view to put two and two together.
Aside from the cliches, I wanted to write an SCP that showed how the inevitable gap between generations, between the 'old guard' that had been there when the Foundation was in its nascent years, to the more idealistic newer generation would lead to a conflict.
Thanks for Reading! If you have any feedback/questions, please leave them here, and I will try to address them ASAP!
Pour me a drink because I need it.
