I don't understand what's going on here. I think I remember 466 before the rewrite, but why the huge format screw? And wasn't the original longer than what's in the tab labelled original? No hate on the writing or the author's madd Wikidot coding skillz, but I have to no vote this until I know what's going on.
It's an update for the skip's containment procedures as the old ones are outdated due to circumstances. The only thing I did not include from the original was the brief addendum and a test log which I felt didn't really need to be included for the purposes of revising the containment procedures. So basically it's an attempt at showing how the Foundation makes changes to current procedures, which would be a thorough bureaucratic process.
This was needed so badly. I really like the new article. And it is very good that you did it by having the original article still be canon but making it just what the SCP used to be before it turned into something worse.
I really like it, but I'm just wondering about the significance of the blood report. I don't know what I'm supposed to make of it. If I were a biologist would I appreciate it more?
It's mostly normal results, with a considerable amount of protein and calcium. And for its presence in the document itself, I believe it is meant to evoke a certain degree of plausibility. A blood analysis is something I'd do to this SCP, and I'm a medic by training. :O
Otherwise, while it is very similar to actual blood analysis doc, it's not necessary to the article… but it doesn't drag much.
Otherwise… I have to re-read it and give it a time. Let it sink in. I'm not sure about it, it's certainly good, and much much better than the previous one, but iffy at some points.
Only real complaint is the blood sample. It's totally meaningless to me, and I didn't want to look up every last term to figure out its significance. (At least it's explained by Reach above.)
Other than that, part of me wants to say the format screw would have been better off as a tale, linking back to the article part, but on the whole, it all works together as an excellent story. It really feels like actual Foundation procedure at work. This is a really creepy skip and I like the predicament the head is in. (Why the expungement of his identity? Just for dignity's sake, or are they hiding something important?)
