Hi there! This is one skip out of, hopefully, a full series based around a GoI draft I've been working on for, embarrassingly enough, a little over a year.

Mining history has always been a deep interest of mine because I live in Nevada's Mine Country, just down the mountain from the Comstock Range (Virginia City).

I want to thank The Scary Name Man and Zyn for the forum critiques and dankaar for the PM crit for last looks!

Y'all rock¹!

Heya Fox. I like this a lot. I enjoy the creepiness and the expositional flow. I feel that it gives enough exposition and allusion to satisfy, whilst leaving me eager to learn more about your GOI. The last line’s especially impactful. Great job.

This SCP is well made, and has vague enough info that it leaves the reader wanting more info on both the GoI and the effects of the object. I especially love the ominous feel of the Addendum. Stay golden!

Minor Stylistic Changes

I swapped out the default font for IM Fell DW Pica SC in the newspaper clipping.

Also, as Monotype Corsiva doesn't work on all devices and is a non-free font, I swapped it out for Permanent Marker.

IMHO, both of these changes improve the look massively!

Fonts referenced here are from Google Fonts and are available under the Open Font License and the Apache License 2.0, respectively.
