My second Chicago Spirit GoI format. Thanks to everyone that critted this, both before and after I stayed up until 5 AM rewriting it: Kakroom does not match any existing user name, stormbreath, DrChandra, mayoculpa, & Elogee Fishtruck does not match any existing user name. I've been writing this for a while, so it's more than likely I forgot someone. Please feel free to remind me!

So this weird tennis ping pong tale-goiformat-tale thing game continues as the Summer of Blood gets some backstory on the Cat.

I said it in chat and I'll say it here: I do not like the way every new GoI has its own basket of weird terms and code-words that refer to things we already know about. All it seems to do is momentarily bog down the story while highlighting how good the authors are at coming up with puns and sly references. There's no reason to have "The Shelf Rattlers" instead of just "The (Serpent's) Hand", there's no reason to have something like "The Titans" instead of just "Prometheus" or "The Labs". I've never seen any kind of justification for the Alice-In-Wonderland references, and until I do, they're just going to seem more and more out-of-place the more of them people come up with.

Sorry guys. I've noticed this sort of thing before, but this has more of it in than anything else I've noticed; practically every other line introduces some new wacky anomalous-gangster slang. It's well-written, but that sort of thing makes it really difficult for me to enjoy.
