Honestly I don't have much to say except that this blew me away. I was not aware such amazing imagery was contained within SCP-4916. But this is great. And I love it. +1 with gusto.

EDIT: I’ve come back a year later to say that this is just as good as the first time I read it.

amazing tone! a neat little poetic look into an otherwise rather mundane scp. +1!

my one comment is that in most rocket launches, they only say "t-minus" at the beginning of the final countdown—eg. "t-minus 10… 9… 8…"—since it's a little tricky to cram that in every second. bit of a nitpick but i think it would improve the flow a little :)
