Putting this on the front of a superheavy, reinforced tank could form a quite effective weapon for containment task forces, though the tank would probably have to be destroyed to deactivate it.
Cute (?) maybe but I don't think this one quite gels right. Everyone else like this one?
Not everyone else, but apparently a lot of people.

Yeah, it's dark humor, like someone falling down a manhole. That shoots back a jet of superheated plasma.
I'm less infatuated with this one. The writing needs to be polished a bit, there are some sections where the 'tone' could be more professional, such as:
"first and foremost, it is utterly indestructible and impervious to all forces available to us, and secondly, it is extraordinarily destructive, apparently by design."
The first section does not have the proper distance, in my opinion, and after the 'secondly' it might be best to refrain from comments on it's destructive potential, and whether or not it is designed that way. As it has been said before 'destruction may not be it's purpose, it may just be a side effect of the function of the device'.
There are other examples of that throughout the article.
It could be redesignated as safe, but only if an additional containment procedure to keep some sort of plexiglass flip-cover locked over the button even while unplugged is implemented.
No, no, quik is right. as long as no one presses the button, nothing happens. It's safe.
Use as a power source?
I don't know, I'm tired.
For the love of all that you hold dear, child, punctuate.
I actually like this, despite it being yet another OTT object.
The last addendum makes the Foundation out to be embarrassingly stupid, though. It should be cut.
Also, agreeing with earlier comments that this should be a Safe item.
And another thing, a year later…
Why on earth would someone find a random hand dryer lying in a crater somewhere and decide to fuckin' install the thing in a building?
Calling BS on this, even though I still like the idea.
Back when the grass was greener, this SCP did correspond to Foundation's standards of quality. Now it doesn't
It's just another object that overdoes what it was supposed to do. Add some lolFoundation in the end, rinse, repeat. Downvoted.
So, I did the math, if this thing were to put out 650 kN of force, it would have to be going about 65,000 km/hour. That's about 53 times the speed of sound. Even with that speed it could only travel 540-550 kilometers in 30 seconds. Halfway across the country my ass.
Depends on the country.

Downvoted. The writing is overly dramatic and cliche, and the concept is dull.
I agree about the writing, but it actually makes sense for this to be indestructible — if it wasn't, it would vaporize itself every time its properties activated.
The article would be nice if the author didn't try to tie in a cycle of being blown away, found, and reinstalled, and just left us with the horror of never knowing if a hand dryer is going to kill us out of nowhere. Ah well.
