Here is the idea: A bed, made of a an ebony frame that holds a heavenly feather mattress complete with matching pillows. The sheets and pillowcases are made of comfortable black silk. If a person was to lay in this bed (By no compulsion whatsoever of course!) they feel no ill effects on till the fall asleep. (The bed is comfortable so sleeping in it is no problem.) as soon as they fall asleep they die. Although dead they are fully conscious, able to feel themselves rotting from the inside out. 8 hours after they are removed from the bed the subject "awakens" writhing in pain. Many only mumble to themselves and sob. Some tell what happend, on the brink of insanity themselves. Though the decomposition should cause a multitude of health problems, they remain alive, living the the rest of their lives as a rotted shell of a human.
Well, to be honest, this idea seems to be pretty boring and generic, it's basically just a thing what makes you crazy. Here is a tip: instead of trying to think up a "kinda creature" or a "sorta object", think of a story that you want to tell, think of little moments in everyday life that make you think, and try to bring the reader to that same moment. I would recommend that you read through the available SCPs and read through the guides.
Delete, nevermind.
Staff will address this. Whathopercy, leave calling out people to staff members. Send a PM if you feel it's necessary.
From here on, please keep discussion focused on the draft itself, which is the purpose of this thread.
It doesn't make you crazy. I'm sure you would suffer physiological trauma if you were rotting and not being able to move.
If I may ask, may I have advice from someone other than Dr. Leonard? I don't know whether to take it seriously due to the fact that he has posted the same paragraph on other forums.
Huh. As presented, this could work IMO. The focus would be, of course, on the unfortunate subjects. The psychological trauma caused by being stuck in a rotting corpse.
Question is, what happens to the D-class at month's end? Can these people actually die? Are they still alive after rotting to a skeleton? Who made it and why? Consider these questions when you are writing your draft.
Yes, they can die. The body would have a lot of damage, so death is certain. The time it takes to die has significantly slowed down. A wound that could kill you in seconds would take hours, they feel the pain even though they don't die. Once the body can no longer deal with the damage, they die. Dead bodies placed in the bed have no effect
