How about a sample of its wierd language?
Post-mortem biopsies are not possible. Biopsy means that the subject is alive for the procedure.
Continued exposure to pain trains your pain receptors to respond more, not less. Your pain threshold goes down as you experience more pain, even if your pain tolerance increases.
Which makes this even worse.
This entry would probably benefit from an attached interview. If you need help with the writing of the dialogue for the SCP, you can look at something transcribed by a disorganized schizophrenic for inspiration or to use with permission. When undergoing an episode, their sentences make grammatical sense but are contextually nonsensical. As a result, reading it tricks the mind into thinking it should be able to understand it, and that the problem rests with the reader, not the writer. You can add a note at the beginning saying that the telepathic effect is lessened or disappears when transcribed and read.
I really like this SCP, but just one thing: There is no such thing as "unintentional termination", let alone self-termination. Termination is always purposeful and authorized.
Authorised Suicide would be "Self-Termination".
But you're right on the unintentional bit.
I propose we allow SCP-116 to self-terminate in a controlled environment. This thing has, so far, proven to be a fruitless waste of resources.
That's so cold. Love it. It would be even more abrupt if you removed "so far".
I like it. We have an object with unexplained properties that just wants to die and we have a Foundation which wants to be able to figure out the regeneration (which I suspect is directly tied to the fragile bones, something involving the binding components being leached away) but also recognizing that the cost may outweigh the benefits.
16x16 meter room. Composed of Kevlar. With 1m of rubber padding on the interior surfaces. Holy shit is that crappy containment.
Totally aside from that amazingly bad room, I find the guy's effects to be kinda meh. Downvote.
Giving bearhugs to the unsuspecting since 1872.
I'll echo Drewbear. I'll add that there isn't really any reason for me to care about this object, as the only narrative is about how depressed it is.

I'd like to point out that, while the hint is subtle, prolonged communication with 116 causes deleterious mental effects, and physical contact may cause similarly deleterious physical effects.
I personally feel that this particular SCP is very much underrated.
