Hello everyone,

I'm a 15 year old who lives in Portugal and Edinburgh (it's complicated). I've been reading the site for about six months but was told not to join until I had lurked for a suitable period. I have a couple of ideas for SCPs (including one I've already written up and posted in the sandbox) but am not optimistic about their prospects. However, I am looking forward to participating in the site.Incidentally, the name is just because I was trying to summon up inspiration for what to call myself and the first thing I saw was a turquoise pencilcase.

Welcome to the site, Turquoise! It's great to hear that you're interested in writing for the site. Remember, it is highly advised that you receive critiques on your drafts through the forums or through chat before posting them. I would recommend that you lurk for a while, and, read through the SCP articles (trust me, it's the best way to improve your skip writing skills) and have a read through the guides, in order to try and get a feeling of what the site is like. Additionally, feel free to stop by chat to speak with other members of the community. Glad to have you on the site!
