You know what this site needs more of? Cactusman. Here's a Cactusman tale, just in time to be drowned by the incoming flood of contest posts.
Cactusman is amazing, and tales starring Cactusman are amazing by extension.
I also enjoy the vibe you throw off in the tale. It is very chaotic and laid-back. Indeed, the antithesis of the Foundation.
I do hope there is a sequel (Cactusman 2: The Golden Army).
Pretty uneven. Could use a lot of editing for stylistic reasons (and a few errors).
But I still liked it; the characters are charming and sympathetic, and the story overall is sufficiently entertaining to +1.
I've always liked the Chaos Insurgency personally… But this? I like both Langley and Radcliffe, they both opposites to each other completely and almost slip into a cliche with how they are. But they're enjoyable in their own way. Of course, Cactusman is Cactusman. He's great.
But yes, I love how you show the Chaos Insurgency in this tale.
This is a good tale though I wish it would get a sequel.
Following Cactusman brought me to my first Chaos Insurgency tale as well. Interesting.
I like seeing our oddball hero explore new corners of the setting and its let me explore a little too. For those reasons, I upvote.
