And the fishman enters the fray. Part man, part fish, all professional freak. Totally not from Innsmouth, cause who'd want to be from there?

If I'd seen this one first, I'd probably have upvoted it, but I can't see what this brings to the table that the Flame-Faced Man didn't, and the Flame-Faced man is more interesting than this (not much more, but I feel obligated to give out one upvote for the snazzy poster design). It's fun to look at, but the substance is lacking.
I love the artwork, I love the idea, and I really want to go to that show now. I like it even more because of the fact that he has eyebrows. That probably means that he didn't just evolve from a fish or a person. If he evolved from a fish he would never of had hair. If he evolved from a person he would of lost his hair. It makes me think that he was some kind of weird experiment.
I think it would be really cool to try and form some kind of sad, pitiful, or even feelsy emotion through a circus poster. At least, that's my head upon seeing that the fish-man looks a little sad.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
I found the circus poster format novel when I read the flame man, but now that I read this and your other article, it seems repetitive and similar. I think it was a cool concept, but your struggling to get meaningful material out with so few words.
EDIT: Had to try 3 times to get this to post.
I suggest editing the image to include the text instead of using HTML and hoping the user sees it the way you intended. I see the image with white text underneath it instead of on top of it.
I have this problem with just about every page on this GOI.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Could you upload a screenshot somewhere?
Also: you're missing the point of the contest: to create GoI-specific formats that others can use to easily create articles. Making everything one solid image automatically means it's not easy to use.
I get the point of the contest. The format could easily be supplied as an image with no text to be used elsewhere. I will get you a screenshot when I get home.
My point is that the format you created only works well if people are using certain browsers with default settings. It doesn't work well with Opera. If I have my fonts at a different size, bam! They no longer fit on the background. Different operating systems display the same fonts slightly differently, which also changes the way they interact with your static background.
I suppose the purpose of my vote on this page is for the content only on this page. Overall, my gripe is with this format not being terribly dynamic.
I've just tested with a clean install of Opera, and I have no problem whatsoever.
Sure, setting your fonts larger will change the way things look, but the moment you start fiddling with your client's settings, the control the designer has is severely limited. I agree that the static background is limiting in the degree of that control, but that may change in the future, as more design-savvy people work on these posters.
Indeed. Even though I'm having issues, I still love this format and think its a great contribution, so don't get me wrong in that aspect! I do web design for a living, so if you want some help gussying it up let me know.
Great job in the contest overall.
The thing that makes this act stand out from the others, for me, is the lack of a book page combined with the "one day only" note. Where did this guy really come from? How did he come to Fuller's? Why was he only there once? (Why did the circus know he was only going to be there once?) What happened to him afterward? We just don't know, and that opens up all sorts of space for headcanons and/or further development of the Fuller's concept.
Psstt…it's totally SCP-527. ;)
Also:

No no, the circus is only there for one show every time they pop up. They need to keep appearances brief and spontaneous or the Foundation or the GOC would end up taking every last one of their freaks/performers. What's more interesting is where the circus goes when it packs up its stuff.
