I conceptualised the Draft Swap near the start of 2018 after some discussion in IRC of sandboxes littered with stories that would never come to be. Varaxous and I organised the original one-week swap that weekend with a small pool of folks and it went great. Ever since, I've had questions every two or three weeks about when the next one would be. With the success of the second round this month, I reckon it's time to make this a thing.
I might not always be the one organising this (though I'll try), and I might delegate organisation sometimes. If I ever drift away or just forget to do it, I'd encourage another author who feels they can bring positivity and community spirit to the role to pick it up and keep it going.
By the way, if you've participated in the swap before, I'd appreciate if you'd edit in links to this hub in your author's note, if you chose to mention the swap. Makes it easier for people to find it, read other entries and get excited!
