Sillyness asides, upvoted due to the notion of an anomalous group trying to get to a cosmic entity trapped by the Foundation by fire and goooood procedures. :D

Also I am looking forward to more Children of the Torch stories. Can't wait until this becomes a new GOI.

I was wondering if this was another Houju de Haizi, and I'm pleased to see it. The first log is kind of dramatic and grimdark, but the second is great and really expands on this GoI, which I assume it is now. It just tells a really great story.

If anyone wants to write for Huoju de Haizi, I welcome it. I had originally only intended on making a series, not a full blown GoI, though I permit other authors to use HdH.

Actually, I should be mad at you because I had an idea for skip that involved a cult setting themselves on fire, and I think it would both rub up against this article too much and not add anything to the HdH narrative, so I'll likely not be able to do it. :P But that's not a big loss.

I think that was actually the most jarring of the article for me. I know you didn't come up with the GoI's name, but normally occultist (or even religious) group names in Chinese would end with something like "Jiao" (Cult/Religion), "Zong" (Sect) or "Dafa" (Great Way), and the particle "de" as an adjective indicator would always be omitted, and as a possessive would be replaced by the more archaic "zhi".

Also, the proper pinyin is Huoju.

Another solid piece in the series that expands and adds to the overall story. Nicely done.

My only issue is that the incident report doesn't quite strike me as being written in 1937. I'm not necessarily saying that the guy should be saying "the bee's knees" repeatedly or complaining about FDR, but the dialogue just feels kind…off, I suppose. Not sure how I would fix it, and it wasn't enough to affect my vote, but it did break immersion a little bit.

On another note, in addition to the good storytelling, I appreciate this series for adding more international viewpoints to the material on the site, something I feel we could use a bit more of.

Whee more East Asian SCPs! Kind of bothered by anachronistic slang in an incident report from 1937, but otherwise I like this a lot.

This alignment must be upheld at all costs. SCP-2995-1 must maintain a distance from one another of exactly 9.56 meters; to facilitate this, the instances are bound to one another by a series of reinforced steel supports.

Matter will expand or contract when temperature changes due to thermal expansion, and metal is especially susceptible to this, so the temperature of the containment chamber would have to be kept constant. Though it would probably be better to make the connecting supports out of a material that undergoes little thermal expansion.
