Wow…thanks for using the Church and 882 to such great effect! 882 is my pride and joy, and i love seeing it inspire other people, even if it's just a causal mention.
That connection actually developed on its own… I decided I wanted to do something different for the storage requirements for reasons unrelated to the device itself, and decided to use the Church; then I realized that the Church is also associated with 882 and decided it probably wasn't a good idea to mix an artifact which transforms everything into a magical metal with unknown properties and a machine that self-assembles from all nearby metals…
I'm glad you approve!
Just two nit picks, i hope you don't mind. First, it just says it is an unknown composition, not that it's a unknown metal or alloy, which makes the 882 warning slightly confusing. If it already mentions metal and i somehow missed it, please shake your head and ignore me. Second, i like that you tried to mix up the standard [DATA EXPUNGED], but i think it gives it too much of a personal tone, especially the protection of the innocent one. I'd say go with the standard [DATA EXPUNGED], but kudos for trying something new!
Time for Dr. Bright to bring out his favorite neutralization technique…
Send it with someone through SCP-120, let it float off into space.
Admin, SCP Wiki
I have three reasons why that is a bad idea.
First question: has that ever actually worked?
Second question: are you certain of the consequences of turning, for example, Mars, into an anomalous metal with unknown properties? And wouldn't that be rather masquerade-breaking for the Foundation if it happened?
Third question: given that we don't actually have complete control over this object at the moment, do you have a plan to get it safely and completely out of CBG hands and into Site 19, without risking a containment breach at any stage and exposing any number of currently Safe and Euclid SCPs to a Keter-class object? Especially considering that the Church is actively tracking this object and the location of Site 19 is a closely-guarded secret?
Add it to the ever-expanding list of things Bright is not allowed to do.
Studying the church currently and am hoping the scp I'm making will work with it. But Ill get more advice first and do a rewrite if needed.
I found the Wikipedia article for the image and almost jumped when I saw it.
I'm reading this site WAY too much, aren't I?
Phaistos Disc, for anyone curious.
That's probably just an old "souvenir" of sorts, for believers who want their very own copy of a part of the Broken God. He's been broken for quite a while now.

…I'm not sure if it's a game board (my initial thought) or a calendar…
I'm actually guessing that it's like their version of a rosary, or the Stations of the Cross. Most of them got destroyed by some religious upheaval, probably.

I don't really get why the tone of the containment details is 'will be' rather than 'is' - is there some reasoning behind that, s it seems sort of incongruous with other SCP entries?
I love updates to old SCPs
it makes the site feel more alive and active
