A few odd phrasings aside (likely caused from translation), this is a very well written and paced tale.
Excellent job.
I was enjoying this just fine - good descriptions, believable characterization, exposition through narration - and then the hook at the end.
Sweet Christmas, if I ever write something this good I'll be insufferably pleased with myself.
This really is excellent. Well done to the author and translator :)
Didn’t notice that this was a translated work at first, just thought it was located within Russia.

Love it love it love it.

One of the best tales I read in a while. The different inmates serve as a really good build up and the way the "recruitment agent" handles each of them feels very Foundation-like. In spite of this, the ral cherry on top was that turn of events at the end.
