You've pulled this trick before, where the skip is scary and dangerous because we're told directly that it's scary and dangerous. I didn't like it before, and I certainly don't like it now. There is no intrinsic interest to what you're writing about. It's just "well if you believe it's something horribly dangerous, then that's exactly what it is OMG".
The ill-advised cross reference to SCP-055 just underlines that by calling attention to an article that does this much better, mostly because 055's punch comes from the fact that no one can remember it, rather than the "oh it could be anything" angle. Also it makes no sense that O5-6 would even be able to make that reference in his letter.
And why the Serpent's Hand? Are they just a thing we invoke now when we need sources for strange and mysterious things, but we don't want to spend time actually dealing with background details?
