hey, maybe y'all should scroll up after reading the tale. 💛
What happens I'm on mobile so maybe it's broken
Also please put the reveal in a collapsible so nobody else gets spoiled
the monochrome theme switches to the full standard color, typically by the time a reader is done with the article and scrolls back up. it fades in slowly so if people on desktop are reading slowly they don't notice immediately.
also, the trans flag at the bottom.
my brain made too much of the happy chemical and it looped around to cryin
This doesn’t really have many legs to stand on as an emotional story. since this is the first time we as readers get to know Faeowynn, her internal conflict has effectively zero significance. As a character story, what’s so interesting about Tim immediately being an accepting father? There’s potential here to use the background story, of climbing and summitting the mountain, as a metaphor for him contemplating his reactions to and acceptance of his daughter, but then you defuse the conflict immediately. It’s a feel-good story that doesn’t feel earned.
This is super good feedback. I'm in the process of rewriting.
While I agree with ARD, I also agree with pb
+1.
Agreeing with ARD, but the CSS is too sexy and I see too much great potential in this to downvote
any ideas for an SCP that plays on fear of coming out?
This ain't the place to ask for ideas on a skip
This doesn't work for me unfortunately. It's well written, and sweet, but nothing interesting happens. Tim Wilson finds out his child is trans, and is surprised but responds well to it. That's it. It doesn't have much of a narrative, and it doesn't do any interesting worldbuilding (That is to say, I don't see how Fae coming out will lead to interesting WWS stories down the road.). Thinking about it, the only meaningful connection this has to the Foundationverse is the name Tim Wilson.
I feel like this would be really good as a part of a larger story, perhaps one where Fae coming out is connected, literally or thematically, with WWS dealing with some anomaly. Something like that.
