Yep, rewrote Streamliner. Loved this idea too much to drop, but wasn’t satisfied with my previous article. This should only be better. And now this is competing with SCP-4006 for my most meta article.

Ha. This is a good mixture of comic book silliness, with narrative cleverness. I especially appreciate the exchange between the Expositor and the Streamliner, which reminds me of the Cairo swordsman bit from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in terms of a build-up to a simple solution.

In all seriousness, these logs were very entertaining, the MTF log especially. It's strange, because it is so needlessly expository, and yet it builds up tension in a fun way. I giggled at "Everybody is cheering!!". So have an upvote, DorkStuff.

Oh wow, not sure how I missed this since it features my very own pet MTF. A conflict between pataphysical beings is definitely a really cool concept, as was the way you thought to counter them. +1

Yes, this is intended to be silly, but that doesn’t require the lack of internal consistency displayed here. The premise asks that we accept that real life, as it happens, is a “narrative” on which this anomaly can operate. Even if one goes along with the idea that this is a universe where that concept doesn’t even warrant a mention in the report (and that’s a little far from reality for my taste), the Foundation here still fails to take two obvious actions:

1) Don’t document the capture or containment of the anomaly - there is then no narrative to abridge.

2) Point out to the anomaly that a record of 29 containment attempts and then breach reports is itself a lengthy narrative, as the Foundation won’t stop trying. If the anomaly’s goal is summarisation, it might be a shorter story if it immediately submitted to capture and stayed there. The end.

Well, you can’t please everyone, heheh. I posted a shorter version of this before, for these precise reasons, but it wasn’t received well. This is the rewrite, which is faring much better, so my hand is forced, as it were, to keep it as is.

Also, not documenting would surely mean we would have nothing to read. But, however… maybe they realised this loophole for the second time they contained him, but it’s not written here, for that reason >:3

EDIT: I might also point out that it has the ability to shorten narratives. It's not a necessary action for it to take. You could theoretically have a very long narrative about Streamliner, as long as he didn't use his power on your story.

Great work, I previously upvoted, but I noticed that it says "Containment Procedures" instead of "Special Containment Procedures". Is this intentional?

It wasn't before, but given the properties of the entity… it is now.
