I like this one a lot. Not dangerous, but still very interesting. I wonder if, after it finished one structure, it would start another, eventually covering everything in these building structures. That is, assuming nothing got in its way…
Ah. Sorry about the numbers thing. A habit of mine.
- SCP notices a replicating structure.
- SCP removes the "cornerstone" (inadvertantly halting growth).
- SCP figures out what's going on.
- SCP decides to let the brick finish somewhere else.
Am I correct?
So, this thing forms a compass rose for map photographers?
I really like this one even though it is not creepy. It has a sense of mystery to it, and makes me think of the Nazca Plains pictograms.
I kinda like this one. It's got a sense of mystery to it, as well as a sense of "what might happen if…?"
Personally, I'd like to see what happens if someone chucks it on Mars or the Moon or something. Give it an entire world to grow on with nothing manmade to get in its way. Could be quite interesting…
As others have said, I am particular to this one and like the idea the author came up with, especially considering if the inspiration was the picture of a brick. Reading this makes me want to allow it to grow as large as possible and move anything out of its way to ensure such.
This is probably one of the more better simple items on the site. Really cool effects that are dangerous without crossing the line into "Mega Ultra Danger" territory, its logic is consistent instead of being random and all over the place, and nothing more is there than needed to be. For something that was around since the site first came into being, and even by now, this is really damn good. My only issue is the dubious discovery story, as the "found by luck/chance" thing always rubbed me the wrong way. Otherwise, I enjoy this.
