Foundation or Organisation

A small question to you all:

Is it Foundation or Organisation? I know people have used both, but which do people feel is best? I'll change my articles to reflect what people feel is best, and encourage others to do the same. I don't think it's a huge problem or anything, just want to add some more consistency.

I myself vote for Foundation.

I think it should be Organization, personally. Foundation is a term used for something funded by private investors. I never really got the sense that these were being written by a corporation or business, but it is organized. Plus the lack of specificity in "Organization" seems to fit the vagueness of the whole shpiel.

I vote for Organisation because it'll upset Americans 'cos it's not spelled with a 'z'.

I like Foundation. It gives them a name. Organization is too generic a word IMO. I think the SCP Project is itself a faction of the Foundation

Originally, I used "organisation" instead of "organization" because it sounded atypical but not improper. The more I look at the question, the more I'm beginning to like the sound of Foundation. Is there an alternative spelling we can use to make it sound old-world or ancient.

And not something gay, like "shop" to "shoppe"

because an organization has a connotation everyone is working together
when most personnel dont know about more than 2 or 3 SPCs

Alright, thus far we have:

Organisation - 2

Foundation - 3

Kain the sheep - 1 (which i guess counts for Foundation)

I'll let a few more people weigh in on it, and will act accordingly. I really dug what Lt Masipag said, that this is a subsection of some massive global shadow-group. Also, to the admin: i ran "Foundation" through a thesaurus, and didn't really come up with anything that would make a good name. Still, i'll keep looking

it's not that it really matters, it's just for consistency. that way, we'll have a standard that everyone can use when referring to the people who collect the scp items.

My suggestion:
We use Foundation within SCP documents, but it's an unofficial name that nobody outside the Foundation would recognize. Conversely, nobody within the Foundation knows the official name. For secrecy.
