Didn't really address the issue that I put in chat about Dr. Lexi's extreme nonchalance about being dead, and also missing most of his skin. He just seems so…casual about it.

The little comment he made upon waking up is not what I'd imagine anybody to say when they realized they were a zombie.

-1. I'd be interested in seeing what comes of editing work though.

That's my inspiration for the bit. Ended up having this draft sit around almost as is for nearly three months. The 'butter my biscuits' part was from Azzleflux, although he was using that as a way to demonstrate to me how inappropriately nonchalant Lexi was in the forums, so there you go.

It looks like a bad instance of search and replace. I'm guessing the author tried to replace all instances of dr with Dr.

Spot on, Myriad. Then it went on, unbeknownst to me to replace the 'dr' in "children's", "drugs", and "dry", with Dr.

Contrary to Weizhong, I'm fine with the nonchalant reaction to reanimation. I find the way it develops with son, psychic visions, etc. to be rather forced and read like desperate clawing for feels.

Repeating the comments I made in chat regarding the use of the phrase "psychic visions" in a Foundation document. Throws the whole tone of the latter half of the document out for me. The Foundation would describe the situation as "the subject came to us and said he experienced sensory hallucinations of etc. etc. etc." rather than "a psychic vision happened". The Foundation does not report what it cannot definitively verify, and Occam's Razor says he hallucinated a hallucination that was remarkably similar to events that happened in real life.

The idea of a dead person spontaneously coming back to life is nothing new, but there were enough nice touches throughout to convince me that this has a place on the site.

I upvoted - just. The comments of Anaxagoras and Eskobar mirror most of what I think is wrong with the article, but the charm of the piece just about won me over. (Plus, science.)

I now expect a reenactment of "You'll Be a Dentist" from Little Shop of Horrors featuring SCP-1697 and Dr. Holmes.

I tried saying 'Well butter my biscuits and call me Sally, where's my skin', but most of them seemed really put off by that.

I never expected to see that line be used…

And then the rest of it's just really sad in a good way. Well done, Cain.

Following what was considered to be a severe bout of depression, SCP-1697 expired this morning, and is now considered neutralized.

Then shouldn't the class be listed as "Safe Neutralized"?
