A fundamental theory so elegant that it actually turns the Universe into things like point masses moving along geometrically idealized paths? SOLD. Take this upvote, and well done on a good first effort.
I cannot math very well, but I still understood what the general gist of this is. And I think it's neat.
I did not come in expecting to enjoy an "explain all/many anomalies" SCP, but you managed to make that work with a good story. Solid. I like it.
if your reading this your gay
I really do not like the core concept—to me, it almost seems like…anti-horror, or anti-interesting. It is the direct opposite of stuff that excites me on this site. The story also did not really grab me, given that the professor seems to be very clear-cut "psychotic mad scientist with apocalyptic goals 'justified' by psychosis," which doesn't appeal to me as interesting. I was not a fan of the expungement in the last note either. It is well-written, though. so yeah -1
I'm a big fan of the "hard science" type articles on the site, and this really fulfilled my expectations for those articles. Which is tricky, because it's very easy to veer into "dry and uninteresting" territory when attempting these. I like the story, I like the effort put into this, and I like the ultimate scope of what you're doing here. Upvoted enthusiastically.
I think my favorite part in this is seeing a view of the Foundation from the view of someone who doesn't know they exist, but is smart enough to figure some things out.
↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑This right here so much I wish I could upvote comments because if the SCP Foundation existed & I saw some proof I would avoid them at all fucking cost like him and also be kinda happy that non-normal stuff exists out there but also depressed considering that they don't want this stuff to be known about and they're so huge that they're practically impossible to take down except maybe with SCP-868.
Lol well that was a run on sentence.
I was wondering if I should make it Keter. At first it was, but the concept was sort of different so that the skip was pretty well contained. What does everyone else think? I suppose it's not really contained anymore.
Thank you everyone for the warm reception! I'm really happy with how this turned out and I want to thank everyone who provided input and advice.
God damn it! I had this exact idea, so I searched 'SCP maths problem' into google and this came up! Have an upvote anyway
