Enjoy my Sin Article

I liked the idea of ATF from the beginning, so here's another skip about them!

Big thanks to Dog Teeth, the creator of ATF and a big provider of crit for this article!

ATF is beginning to become an interesting goi, with this and the furry one (I forget the number). I wonder what other articles will be written about them? I especially like the character dynamics in the chat logs.

I couldn't really get into this one. It's dark and disturbing, but in a way that feels more just mundanely uncomfortable rather than uncanny or suspenseful. Topics like sexual abuse are hard to address in supernatural horror and I don't know if this article really has the sense of gravity to pull that off. In general, the ATF scips make me a bit wary because I can't shake the feeling that they fall back on negative stereotypes of anime fans and furries in a way that doesn't really subvert those tropes and just winds up in this awkward zone between goofy/ironic and disturbing.

This was my take-away as well. The first half read like an article auto-generated from text on r/justneckbeardthings. Anime fans are gross and like hug pillows, amirite?

Then came the second part and the big reveal that the body pillows were people, which just came across as nonsensical and distasteful. What was the intent behind this twist? Was it to show that exploitation, even of fictional characters, is gross? That people demand a level of obedience and subservience from idealized characters that would be degrading and awful in real life? As currently written, it just comes across as a way to shoehorn in some group I don't care at all about, and to show what bad dudes the group is.

If there is an demand, someone will sell it. While this specific subset of people. (get sexual with fictional characters and body pillows) tend to be rare, I've personally met some of them. (Men and Women) Considering we have entire corporations which do similarly nasty things I don't know what exactly your problem with this one is. IMO it makes sense that someone would make this SCP. After all, why not? There are more ridiculous things around and about.

The whole point is to be gross, is it an low hanging fruit? sure. Personally I like the unsettling disgusting SCPs.
