Hum. Better than the original, but it's still just kinda…bland. There's nothing wrong with it, the writing is excellent and everything fits together nicely. It's just not terribly interesting. No vote, may reread later, but I certainly won't downvote it.
(account deleted)The idea wasn't the best to begin with, the improvement with the writing makes the article a tolerable one that can be read without inciting the memetic effect of making me want to obsessively edit it for tone, but, thats pretty much as far as this article goes.
Had no idea where this was going until the final note, which gave an "oh shit" note.

Solid writing, but pretty underwhelming. Personally, the twist felt predictable, although years of reading fiction can do that to you.
