I liked the article up until the addendum. While it needs a hook, that addendum just completely killed the mystery.
The Glieseans?! Well shit I haven't seen them since 1342!
I approve of this rabbit. Yeah, there isn't much mystery, but I don't rightly care. A reality bending rabbit is hook enough for me.
Why is it that the only anomalies at risk of dying in containment are the sapient ones? That's always bugged me.
Oh hey, I remember this. Nice work.
if your reading this your gay
I love this, except for that addendum. Seriously. Rabbit, going about its business, manifesting random shit it wants…full of win. And then that addendum.
I'm upvoting because I like the basic concept, but that addendum could be shortened to just the last line and be far more effective. The rest of it makes the rabbit so…mundane, for lack of a better world.
This is one of those things I think would work better as a tale. Toys of Caliban critter is okay, but it's been done before, and I think what people would really be interested in hearing about is the entity that skippified it.
Either way, this is neat, but I don't feel it's high quality enough to upvote. I don't really care about rabbit's family. It was probably the 70th one anyway.
Oh dear god I love this. Reality warping bunny, accidentally making tanks because it's trying to write. The adorable tragedy of it all… i want to hug him…
I do want to know how he managed to kill the farmer though, since it's implied it happened before he was skippified.

Anger is a powerful force, and a dying bunny is an unreliable narrator and/or may not know the full story.

0_o… note to self, another reason to not eat rabbit.
Let the hate flow through you. Give into your anger! Take your weapon, and strike them down with it!
If the Gliseans can manifest ersatz foodstuffs and MBTs, they ought to be able to hook him up with anagathics and an artificial bunny heart =op
+1
But they aren't that smart. All of their stuff, if you read the SCP they're from…it's just copies of our crap. And I don't think we've developed artificial rabbit hearts just yet. Someone please prove me wrong, because that'd just be awesome.
Ugh. That's true. And it's not just copies, in the case of organic objects (carrots, at least), it's bad copies, isn't it?
I was assuming that if they could communicate with non-primates and replicate stuff then they must then be sufficiently advanced to make practical use of what is, for us, currently mostly theoretical, like anti-aging drugs and replacement organs. I guess that's not necessarily the case though. Sad fase =o(
:edit:
copy/paste error
Carrots are crazy complicated biochemical objects. That stuff is difficult. The technology stuff is way way way way easier, but since they are advanced aliens, no-one is using that very often to they have to reconfigure their factories to produce it before it can be sent. Books and art and stuff can be appreciated by aliens too so that can be produced quickly.

Fuck chobram armour, man…them apples, that's the tricky bit. I can pull iPods out of hats all day long, man, but I gotta work for them there carrots. And fuck me runnin' if I ever have to brng out that grass shit.
I like it. There's not really much mystery, but it's cute and mostly harmless and kinda feelsy.
