we're waiting =D
Note: This item has been edited from its deliberately contentious initial form into something a bit more subuded. This was a planned edit and is not due to feedback. Comments made prior to about 0800 EDT on 8 October pertain to the previous version.
Later on when I have more time, I may throw something on the Leaks thread to explain the execution in full, but the tl;dr version is as follows: as Waterfire and a couple of other people realized, a major part of the original version of this skip was intended to be the extension of the 'polarizing' effect to the Wiki voter base. Many aspects of the entry - from the 'lolsupplement' to the way in which the random effect was implemented - were deliberately selected in order to invoke this effect.
I didn't want that version of the article to last forever, so I set its duration to be about 24 hours, figuring that if I failed badly that'd be when it was deleted anyway. As it was, the votes at that time were hovering in the single-digit pluses with about 50 total voters, which was close enough to a polarized vote for me to declare a qualified success. (As I told a couple of people before I posted this, my ideal result would have been an average of 0 after 24 hours with 100 votes or more.)
PS: I'm only replying here because I wasn't quick enough to get the first post on my own thread. D'oh!
EDIT: If anyone wants to see the 'anomalously defaced' page that could be found from one of the prior iterations, it can be found on the sandbox here. Please note that this is no longer part of this article! I provide it simply so that those who didn't catch the time-limited original version can still see the eye damage wonderful artistic statement.
Sound and fury signifying nothing. You put a ton of effort into something deliberately mediocre. I don't know what to tell you.
That depends on whether my goal was:
1. To get as many upvotes as possible, or
2. To try out an experiment that I, and possibly some others, found interesting.
Obviously, not everyone is going to find the latter interesting. Some will find it infuriating. That comes with the territory, so I just have to suck that up.
Too clever by half :/ Shouting "Fooled you!" at the end of the day is no fun.

Storm-tossed by Hera's jealousy
Well, shouting "Fooled you!" definitely isn't fun, and wasn't the point of the exercise. I consider that side of things to be an undesirable, yet unavoidable, side effect of trying this idea out. I certainly didn't revel in it. (The biggest thing I failed to predict was that some people would object to the 'reveal' so strongly. That was a useful thing to learn in terms of future article plans.)
Mr Carbon, I only love you more for what you've accomplished. If it helps any, your skip is like Skip himself: Commentary on what we do here and why we do it.
Unfinished drafts do not have a place on the main wiki. You need to have the draft copied into the edit box before you save it for the first time. Downvoted for being a contentless post.
Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!
Please recheck the nature of this entry, now complete. It was not possible to just copy this entry over simply like for most entries. Placeholding pages for a few minutes was necessary. :)
You could have posted the supplementary pages first. You also could have consulted with a site tech first, to ensure that the page structure is consistent with that which is required for proper backup. Such as it is, since this one appears to be going downhill, I'm not going to go hunt down each individual page and restructure them for that purpose.
Lessons for next time.
You also could have consulted with a site tech first, to ensure that the page structure is consistent with that which is required for proper backup.
Could you cite where that is listed as a requirement for posted pages? I didn't see it in any of the guides. If the answer is 'the post above,' that is also okay, of course.
It's not a requirement. It's a 'Good Idea.' You know, like back talking people trying to be helpful is a 'Bad Idea.' :)

It's not contentless. Check recent changes. This is about to be a hub for a multipage SCP, like the Minotaur or Samothrace.
Mind you, you probably should have waited until more people went to bed before sticking it up here, but what are ya gonna do…

Alright, so after seeing the finished version, I'm still not very impressed. I guess it's kinda neat? But it really feels more like you were relying on a neat gimmick and weird experiments to sell this one instead of a nice, crunchy center. And SCP like this has the chance to be really popular, but without something more in the center, it just strikes of trying to hard.

Thanks for the comment, it's appreciated (specially as I know for a fact you've seen the thing in its full form). I guess my response to that would just be that the fact there isn't a really firm center to this one was sort of intentional, and part of the concept of the article. Of course, that means not everyone is going to like it, which I can live with given the fact that one of the main concepts of the article is polarizing opinion…
And finally: Thanks to Scantron for the circles image and Pig_catapult for use of Dr. Trebuchet.
Edit:
because there are a couple of Easter eggs and at least one iteration that isn't quite what it seems.
… then it might help to know that I used a lot of French 'textspeak'. (Yes, they have it in that language too!) For example, 'mdr' means 'mort de rire' [die of laughing] - the equivalent of 'lol'.
And "Som-Nu NKore Génial" could more accurately be written as "Sommes-Nous Encore Génial."
Of course, that last point will probably earn me more downvotes from some people, but. :D
Edit the last: The above spoilers no longer apply due to a planned change in the article, although I left them there for "posterity" (i.e. as long as this skip survives…)
It's a… place setting? I don't get what yer going for here, please explain.

Upvoted simply because it was a pleasure to read and I don't want to see it deleted.
Same here. Is this the absolute best that this concept could be? No, but neither is anything else on the site, and it's far from disappointing.
Glad that one of my "I made this."s found a home, too.
if your reading this your gay
Honestly, I just think the skip's neat. I can't provide a good explanation as to why I think the skip's neat, aside from 'I just think the skip's neat', but I just think the skip's neat. I liked reading it, and I found myself refreshing to read the other parts.
I downvote this because I think the multipage gimmick is just way overused at this point, and unless I'm missing some huge twist, it's just not very interesting. The fact that there's no way to explicitly browse the various iterations — not to mention that there's no call-out to the fact that there are different iterations — as well as various other technical snafus just really bothers me as well.
