Locking the previous thread and starting a new one. Last question was from Captain Cain to Crayne:
You're a girl?
What does 'Crayne' come from?
And yes, I'll take a question, too. :P

I do have long hair.
Crayne is the last name of a secondary character from Niven & Barnes "Dreampark: The California Voodoo Game". I read it, I liked it, I kept it.
Unfortunately, my choice of e-mail address means I get a shitload of mail for people whose last name really IS Crayne.
Would you rather meet your favorite author, or your favorite actor
Author, definitely. It'd be either Terry Pratchett or Neil Gaiman, and I imagine that it would be delightful.
Also, I don't really have a favorite actor.

You've been with us for a month; what's your overall impression of the wiki?
It's been really good so far, It seems everything I expected of it and more.
How do you plan on repaying me for having been skipped over?
Eh, I don't care. Is 140 a running joke, or is there a reason behind not continuing the last thread?
You're not the only one. My question to Fantem never got answered…
¬_¬ …
I got yo back.
Q: How many iterations of this thread do you think we'll go through?
A: Forty five minus one. The minus one will be so terrible, it will have to be deleted for the good of the wiki.
Q: Has the gimmick run its course, or is this the coolest 'icebreaker' ever?
A: It's actually the perfect ice breaker. Ask someone a question, they ask you a question. Tis beautiful.
Q: Speaking of gimmick, what's your favorite plot device?
A: Assuming it's pulled off well, when the main character was the bad guy.
Well, we don't want SCP-140 to get completed, do we? Or do you WANT a restructuring event?
Seriously, though, I just thought it might be amusing to end it on page 139, since that's where Esko closed it last time.

Does your title refer to being the skipper of a vessel or the military rank?
In the case of the former, which vessel?
I know you're not usually a big fan of tales, but is there one you really like?
Everybody be steppin' on the Captain's toes today.
You suck at creating a new post instead of replying, but I'll answer anyways:
Document Recovered from the Marianas Trench has been my favorite tale since it was submitted. It's artfully crafted, pulls a masterful hook near the end, and was written by my all-time favorite author and role model on the site.
Excellent choice. It's also one of my favorites, along with And It Starts With A Song.

Thank you for noting my rank. I'm an established Army Officer in the U.S.S.F., but not really.
But if I were a skipper, it would be of the U.S.S. Florence & da' Machine.
if you were the captainess of a pirate ship (aaarrrrr) what would be the punishments for newbie sailors who don't follow orders.
Piratesses don't follow the rules of grammatical gender!!!
Isabella Celestine, Comtesse du Isla Maréchal (Countess of Marshall Island), Grandmaster of the Order of the Silver Rose, and Captain of the Celesti Anna has a crack crew of highly disciplined, highly motivated, and extremely devoted women who follow her lead without question, and thus she has no need to dole out punishment.
The young men who try to sneak on board to get a peek at her girls, on the other hand, get strung up, naked and upside-down, on the mainmast by the orc bosun, Grag, Son of Jorg.
(Yes, I realize she's technically a pirate hunter and not a pirate, but specifics be damned.)
What is your opinion on your longtime colleague and rival, Dr. Snuggles?
If you're talking about the animated cartoon ''who has unusual adventures with his friends…. …who were mostly anthropomorphic animals.'' (wikipedia dixit)
He's revolting. I would not call him a rival. He is beyond contempt
If you had to choose one person to be the sole ruler of the United Empire of Earth, who would it be?
Ehh…some social democratic figure or other. Preferably a popular person who can implement leftist social policies with little opposition.
So…Nelson Mandela, with a few years shaved off. Yeah, let's go with him.
Do you believe such a thing as an anomalous object (that is, an object that breaks not only known physical law, but True Physical Law) can exist?
I understand that using the definition I've provided, in principle it cannot. Nevertheless, I wanna know.
[Obligatory joke about Nokia phones fitting the bill because they're harder than diamonds]
Honestly, I've always kind of sort of believed there's some ethereal force beyond all the physical laws that govern our daily lives, and by that reasoning there's probably some sort of object the humans of old had devised to manipulate the wibbly-wobbly goop that floats around outside our physical world, which would probably involve breaking the currently defined laws of physics.
TL;DR version: Yup.
What gives you the right?!
Alternate question: Are there any SCPs that you believe deserve more attention?
I give me the right. Why? Because nobody else will.
The Retrocausality Torus really deserves to be a 100+ article by now. It is really hard to pull of anything retrocausal or specifically doing with a containable temporal anomaly, and this is still the best example of that which I have seen.
From time to time I come across one that seems under-appreciated, but goddamn, it's hard to remember numbers and names on demand like this. What have I read now? 800-850 of them? So many SCiPs… One does begin to lose track.
