Okay, so. This is something I've had in the sandbox for a few months, and I've only just gotten around to putting up. Thanks to everyone in chat who looked at this, and special thanks to Vivax, who suggested putting in more of the Goatman's history. Also, I hope you like this character, because you'll see more of him in the future. Hehe.

Good old fashioned storytelling. I'm very fond of it, and I find myself really feeling for Goatman and his dying legend.

Makes you think about a lot of our old stories, actually. So much of what makes us human is that narrative thread we've woven through our prehistory, history, past, present, and desperately hope to impose on an uncertain future. And sometimes I do fear that the thread is growing thin, and when it breaks, something valuable about us will be lost forever…

You should feel good about yourself.

This single line made me laugh harder than 99% of all the -J's.

Hell, this entire piece made me laugh harder than any of the -J's, as well as still managing to bring out some sympathy in me by the end. Well done, Ihpkmn.

It's always interesting to see things from the perspective of the monsters. I also liked how you managed to incorporate both humor and sadness in a way that flows well.

I like it. Also, for some reason I feel like the goatman's nature is similar to Rudie's.
