This is the discussion related to the wiki page SCP-1368.
An instance of SCP-1368 parasitizes a human host by spreading open its seam, enveloping the host completely and laying over them like a second skin.
…so do they prey exclusively on nudists, or is there some other reason why their manner of predation wouldn't be completely eliminated by wearing clothes?
There used to be a line about how it would go under people's clothes; I dunno what happened to it.
It was removed citing confusion about what the line was implying re: other methods. I'll re-add it.

They're letting emo teens name the MTF groups now? Tentative initial upvote though, I'm pretty tired so I'll read it again but I didn't really garner much explanation from the interview. Would be nice to know if they have any higher motives than just eating dust.
Granted it is anomolous but trying to work out how it can wriggle under your cothes and then encapsulate you through a single seam in its chest is making my head hurt. This is like pulling off your underpants without removing your trousers. That said I quite like it. +1

I'm seeing tonal wibbling, or maybe just nonspecific wording (for instance, what sort of skin are they made from?) Also, I kind of feel like the benefits are not a great thing to have, like… fightgood not great. Definitely potential for parasite/body horror here, though.
The benefits aren't a great thing to have in what regard? With regards to the article, or in-universe?

Actually, good article now. I didn't read the whole thing last time, but the ending presents some great horror, with the "Are they among us?" issue. Also I like the interview, especially the line "friends have a groovy idea".
It's pretty cool, with implications of even further weirdness underneath being a flying sheet of skin that possesses you. I think one aspect: creating "wind" feels a bit wonky. Is there a precedent for that? If not it feels out of place.

In all seriousness, this just wasn't that interesting to me. Reminds me of that other parasite that takes over your body and uses it as a host.

Honestly, I liked this one, but that MTF name needs to go. There have to be a good dozen Skinwalker-related names that could work better, a list of suggestions I'd be glad to provide if the author wishes to contact me.

What's the problem with this MTF name…? Like, almost all of them are humorous. I'm seriously not understanding the "you need to change this" suggestions going on here.

I don't mind that it's an LP song, cuz I love some of their work, but that song is practically the posterboy for ridiculous, whiny, emotrash music.
Which is making it humorous in this context. Like… so what? Why bother to change it? Who actually cares enough that the MTF name would be a deciding factor on whether or not they find the article as a whole good enough to remain on the site?
I haven't. I upvoted, but stated my one issue, because having one bit of tacked-on humor in an otherwise straight article seemed out of place.
I get kinda disappointed when MTF names turn out to be not very humorous in articles of any kind, but that's probably just personal taste.
Oh, my apologies lol… I was unclear. I don't have issues with funny nicknames for the MTFs, but this wasn't "ha ha" funny, but more "Lolwut? no." Funny. Yknow what I mean?
