Mood Music: Yui- Again (OP 1 for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
So, this has a complicated history. It's based off of the original SCP-2722, which got pulled down for reasons that will not be discussed here. This left a rather large hole in the canon, and this needed to be rectified.
Djoric originally was going to take over the rewrite (and he eventually did) but I offered to take up the reigns after a while. The theme of this can be summed up by Omega-2's name: "Anti-Nihilism IN SPACE!". This is firmly set in Stealing Solidarity, after the Solidarity has been Stolen… for quite some time. The Black Rabbit Company has gone through trials and tribulations, and has gotten tired of adventuring, but are still, ultimately, a force for happiness. And god knows we need that nowadays.
I gotta give a lot of credit to Djoric for this, obviously, for letting me use his characters, and giving me a lot of ideas for this. The original ending was more climactic, but then he pointed out that they'd been adventuring for so long that it wouldn't be right to end it on an action-packed thing. They'd need a quiet life.
My biggest concern about this was the same that I have about a lot of my works: That it's too noblebright for a Foundation story. For those of you who don't know "noblebright" is the polar opposite of "GrimDark"— the original Star Wars trilogy is NobleBright, and Warhammer 40k is GrimDark. The majority of my tales are in this style, because why have angst and overwhelming sadness when you can have adventure and character development? But I'm afraid I may have overdone it in this. Ah, well.
As for what the impending apocalypse/status quo is that's implied in the last two documents… I'll leave it up to interpretation.

The recovered materials log will be going up some time this week, can't promise when.

E: Just so I don't get accused of plagiarism (and I should have attributed this earlier, my bad) the description of SCP-2117-B instances is lifted pretty much wholesale from Djoric's SCP-2085. Additionally, some portions of text within the Extended Exploration Logs page (particularly the description of the plaque on the Bridge) was taken from the original SCP-2722.
