(account deleted)This is really kinda stupid and I've seen the sheep art on blogs before…. but it appeals to my Cronenbergian love of wacky body-transformations and is written too charmingly to dislike, so have a +1.
Lethally self-propagating items like this tend to annoy me, but the mention of a "collective" sent my headcanon spinning. I have to think the consciousness of each "victim" is actually ending up in a decent situation once the effect has run its course. Or, at the very least, being given an interesting employment opportunity…
I'm kind of surprised that no one's used that image as a skip before. I would have been less willing to upvote if not for the second image, though, since the phone sheep are something I've seen rather frequently.
That said, the only critique I have is to move the interview excerpt to the bottom as an addendum, if only because that's where they usually go. I liked this.
The second image is sized to be much larger on the page than the image file itself is, and it shows. I'd suggest scaling it back a bit.

I was kinda 'meh' about this to start, but I kept drifting back to the image, and then rereading, and it grew on me. Not sure if that's a good sign though. But it creeped me the hell out and sort of reminded me of the gasmask faced people in Dr. Who, so what the hell, +1
