I liked this when you were talking about it in chat, even before I read the interviews… but DAMN. Those interviews were just the right combination of creepy and fucking hilarious. Fucking creepylarious.

I am under the distinct impression that these quotes were essentially a poor excuse to try and break tone. They can be fixed, simply by removing them.

You don't need this part at all, especially the quotes around delicious.

…You can't just call it food? I mean… they're eating it and believing they're eating food. Plain and simple, not sure why one can't just replace "foodstuff" with "food" and be done with it. Maybe I just dont' understand such things.
The nature of these delusions are variable in nature, although a common theme in them is that the subject is becoming 'enlightened' or 'ascending'
The quotes as a poor excuse to use tone-breaking words, again.
Overall, I'm generally unimpressed with the effect. It just seems weird for the sake of weirdness, which I guess nothing is wrong with that, but it's not compelling in any way to me.

Similarly, I was expecting to hate this, but it ended up just being the most bizarre thing I've felt compelled to upvote in a while.

E: Oh God, those interviews are totally great. I felt some temptation to say creepylarious. Thank you TheAdrift, that's the proper term to describe those interviews.
At the end of the first interview where the interviewer says, "We are getting nowhere. End the interview." That's a very awkward sentence, and it's almost a break in the tone. Other then that you have made me a bit scared of eating my lunch.
I love this.
It's creepy rather than funny, if you ask me though. Especially the constant mentions of lady with no skin (and overall, rejection of skin) in the last interview make it really work well.
At Ascension Burger I was so enlightened I almost caught fire.
I think I'll hit the drive-thru in my Jesus Chrysler.

Anyway, there is a self-contradiction. The second interviewee claims kids eat free, while the menu above seems to indicate kids only get free drinks.
