It reminds me of the World's Best Tothbrush, but I actually kind of like that reference (assuming it was intentional). I like the article quite a bit.
I was just going to say "hey look, another typo-toothbrush".
This is pretty basic, but charming and decently executed.
To be perfectly honest, the typo was a last-minute, spur of the moment thing and really has nothing to do with the rest of the SCP except as one of those "strange, inexplicable details" I tend to throw in. Would the article be better without it?
I don't think it affects it either way, and it makes sense given the context.
Also:"Subject reaches for SCP-1876 and pauses for several seconds while exhibiting surprise that rapidly changes to shock and then fear before breaking down into sobbing while pleading not to be shot." Is a pretty huge run on sentence. May want to edit it. (I don't know how to do quote blocks on my phone *sobs*).
Very clever, I like it. It differentiates itself from the Tothbrush well enough. +1
This is not a great tothbrush. The test logs saved it from a downvote, though. You may want to reconsider how this is presented, as the effects really aren't apparent until you hit that point (I had a major "aha!" moment, and then I liked everything).
I don't know why everyone's fixating on the tothbrush thing. The idea of someone using time travel to keep people from taken their stuff is hilarious, and the logs show a very logical progression of testing.
if your reading this your gay
Yes.
This SCP.
Yes.
I wish there was a +5 button.
Now if only the Doctor had a temporal toothbrush.
I really hope we're not in a "harness the power of passive-aggressiveness" pattern.
